This bed and breakfast is the best i have ever stayed, my 8 year old child was very happy and made very welcome. Menu altered to suit her fussy eating habits. very homely with a very friendly dog. It was a pleasure to stay there. Thank you more

Good B&B close to the Plymouth Hoe. Family room came with a double, a single, a foldout bed and a travel cot. Clean, but dated decor. En suite had some mould on the tiles but was otherwise clean. Breakfast was served in the large, high ceilinged Victorian drawing room. Friendly, well trained house dog loves to play footie! more

My wife and I stayed at the Ashgrove for one night whilst visiting our daughter at University. It was my third visit to Plymouth, having stayed at 2 other B & Bs on previous visits. I would rate this hotel as the best of the three. The parking, as is the case in most of Plymouth, is covered by a... more

Average but chintzy b and b which seems geared towards the lone travelling salesman rather than leisure travellers. Breakfast served before 9am including at week-ends! does not make one feel welcome. more

Stayed here for the second time after friend's recommendation and now want to recommend others too. Lovely Georgian terrace house with Chandeliers, high ceilings and dramatic rooms. On street parking outside on meters 10-6pm (ask Owner for day pass @ £3) It’s a Quiet road just behind the Hoe and a short walk downhill to the shops and the Barbican... more

If you are planning a trip to Plymouth I would definately recommend staying here. I have stayed there twice now. The owners (Theresa and Doreen) are very friendly and welcoming, the rooms are clean and it is very convenient to the downtown core and Plymouth Hoe, while away from heavy traffic. Breakfast is included and is very good as well.... more

My sister had booked most of the hotel for the family to stay over 2 nights for a family wedding in Plympton. My partner and I were the last to arrive at 8.00pm in the evening. Parking is very difficult due to permit parking on side streets. Depsite nobody else having the same names as us and our names being... more

This is in response to the review entited ' room for improvement'. Our hotel is situated on a main road as is all the local hotels in this area, we have double glazing and have done everything possible to make the rooms noise free. Also the road is not for permit holders only and a reduced parking ticket was supplied...

Although the one comment on this site did put me off at first, I trusted a recommendation by friends, and booked one double room in the Ashgrove Hotel for a weekend.Still somewhat dubious, we were greeted by friendly staff who showed us around the beautiully presented property. Breakfast was spot on with a great selection.Turns out the present owners purchased... more

I stayed at the Ashgrove hotel for 2 nights over the Easter weekend (Thu-Fri), and i must say it was the most terrible experience i had with hosts in my entire life. the rooms were just fine, apart from a terrible noise in the bathroom every time i used the taps. however, the landlady was completely rude and crazy. she... more
