Booked a room for two nights to see the fireworks on Plymouth hoe. What I nightmare ! As soon as we walked in the place the smell hit you...the place was filthy. We had to wait while the landlady moved someone else's bags out of our room, she blatantly told us they had refused to stay there. The toilet was down... More

On arrival at 12 pm you were shown the room you had booked. You commented that there was no en suite, you had not booked an en suite room. You mentioned bags in the room, they were awaiting moving to another room as they belonged to a long stay guest who was prepared to move to alternative rooms when required.... More

The stay at the Devonshire was one of the best places we have stayed at. Phil and Mary went that extra mile every day to make us feel welcome. They were very friendly and gave great advice on places to go. We'll located to the town and they took the time to speak to my son and answer all his... More

This place is very close to town, the station and the university campus. The room I stayed in was clean and the double bed was very comfortable. The shower was a little bit small and lacked lighting but overall I was satisfied with the room. The owners were extremely friendly, and know the region very well, they were happy to... More

The guest house is located reasonably handy for the town and has a small car park at the rear for about 6 or 7 cars which is handy because Lockyer road has limited parking. The place is fairly clean but could do with some sprucing up in places. I stayed in a twin room and although the bed was comfortable... More

Our stay was good, Phil and Mary were really nice! Thanks for the great advice on day trip destinations! Breakfast was good (English breakfast) and if you want to go for a quick dinner not too far there is a cozy pub just around the corner, so a really good location.

We had a large very comfortable room, with ensuite. Rates were reasonable, and the location is convenient for bus and train travel. We had planned to stay for two days but extended that to four. Our hosts were so helpful, suggesting different places to see,and even helped arrange for a car and driver so we could see some out of the... More

The room is very comfortable, and it cleans everday. There is free wi-fi, and you can use internet. Miss Mary and Mr Phil are very kindness and friendly people. Their hospitality was excellent. Thanks for everything.

Phil and Mary go above and beyond to make guests comfortable. Our room was light and spacious. Phil's advice about which sites we would enjoy was perfect. Based on his directions we were able to go exactly to the right places for us. Devonshire Guest House is conveniently located too. We recommend it!
