We had a lovely room with a sea view, very clean with everything you need. We were visiting our daughter who is in the Navy so the location was excellent. A short taxi ride to Davenport, but a lovely 15 min walk to the Barbican. Great breakfast too - we will definitely use again

Very accommodating and helpful, a lovely spot on West Hoe and the parking around the back was a big bonus. I had a room on the ground floor and it was quiet and clean, with a nice bed. I'll be back! Thanks!

We have a lovely stay in a well decorated and friendly B&B. The family room was large and had a good size bathroom. The breakfast was everything you could possible ask for. We where staying at Plymouth for Plymouth University Open Day.

We stayed here during our Plymouth holiday. The guest house is beautiful and clean. The house has been in Carla's family for many years and you can easily see the family's pride of ownership. The location is fantastic - on a quiet street near the harbor. We could see the water from our room. Breakfast was also fantastic. This would... More

Lovely clean and comfortable rooms. Very friendly host and staff. Helpful knowledge of area for ferry information and events. Fantastic breakfasts. Great base for visiting Plymouth and HMS Raleigh for our son's passing out parade. Would definitely use Carla's guest house again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

I have got to say that the Edgecumbe Guesthouse is the best I have stayed in. I came down for a family party. Carla is a great host and so is her staff. I stayed in room 5 which has its own kitchenette. Which is good if you dont want to go out you can just do your own cooking... More

The guest house was easy to find and we could park alongside it. We were made welcome and as our student daughter accompanied us to check-in she and her boyfriend were invited to join us for breakfast the following morning. Perfectly situated we just walked a few metres to the wonderful sea front. A lovely quiet Sunday night's sleep and... More

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We offer filter coffee at breakfast as well as instant and decaf. It is served in cafetieres and is extremely popular. The choices are displayed on the menus in all the bedrooms as well as being offered at the breakfast table. The butter served is a spreadable butter but if... More

Our room was on the top floor and although spacious it had a kitchenette so you felt like you were sleeping in a kitchen rather than a bedroom, you could see the sea though. Nice powerful shower and shower cream and shampoo etc supplied. The room we were in had a room next door which was very close as she... More

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Your room is accurately described as having a kitchenette which most guests appreciate and find extremely useful, especially keeping drinks cool in the fridge during warm weather. The view from this room of Plymouth Hoe and waterfront is lovely. I'm pleased you liked the powerful shower and all the toiletries... More

Very pleasant stay, excellent bed and all facilities in my double room (hairdryer, coffee/tea/hot chocolate/water, cookies), no desk but a comfy chair which allowed for laptop work. Free wifi and a good breakfast. They give you the key to the room and front door, so you can come and go as you please. The guesthouse is very close to Plymouth... More
