I was recently treated to a lovely surprise night out with an overnight hotel stay by my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Living in the City, I have often walked past the hotel but never had the opportunity to go inside. From the minute I entered the hotel I could tell that the Staff and the Management team were... We enjoyed our three night stay at this hotel, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very nice and filled us up for the day. The staff were very friendly and could'nt do enough for us. It is an excellent location for The Hoe and as we were here for Armed Forces Day it... More

We paid £85 for one night in a small smelly room under the roof. The worst thing was the bathroom that was not very clean and smelt so strongly that we avoided to use it. The breakfast was ok, but on a low level. The only really great thing about Invicta is the location only 2 mins away from The... More

I have read your review and appreciate the time spent in leaving it. I will, as I always do, reply with the utmost transparency and with factual comments. Upon checking into the hotel you and your colleague were allocated room 31. This was the room requested and booked online by you. The web site clearly states the type of room... More

The hotel is in an excellent location to visit all the main attraction of Plymouth It is nice to be able to stay at an independant hotel that can beat the big chains at some things they offer. The Invicta provides a complimentary bottle of water in the room. The rooms have everything you would expect of a big chain,... More

Stayed here for one night recently. Excellent, small friendly hotel in a superb location next to the Hoe, Barbican and Plymouth Pavilions. Walking distance to a variety of good restaurants and shops. Great breakfast and all staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. Every area of the hotel from our room and bathroom to corridors, stairs, breakfast room and... More

Had Francis Drake been staying at this hotel as well as playing bowls on the Hoe it is very unlikely he would have been able to tear himself away to deal with the Spanish Armada! If you prefer small hotels (an interesting listed building at that) offering a genuine welcome, a superb room, a breakfast to die for and value... More

A friendly, family-run hotel. Nothing is too much trouble and we were made to feel very welcome. A very comfortable hotel serving excellent breakfasts. We were visiting Plymouth for an event. This hotel is close to the Plymouth Pavilions and the Theatre, also The Hoe and The Barbican. The shops are not too far either. Altogether a very well-placed and... More

My wife and I was highly recommended to this hotel by a friend. . And what a treat it was! After a long day of driving we finally arrived at the Invicta at about 11pm. We was then welcomed by a very kind young gentleman behind reception who made us feel right at home. We was placed on the top... More

My wife booked this particular Hotel due to its location. Apprehensive at first because we normally stop in the larger hotels and lodges. Upon check in we were offered a complimentary tea or coffee in the lounge a nice touch after a 5 hour journey. We noted there was no lift as stated on the web site we were offered... More
