Friendly welcome from Sue and David Radford the proprietors. Located a few minutes walk from The Hoe and approximately a 10 minute walk from The Barbican. Private parking at the rear of the B&B is limited so you need to book this with proprietors prior to your arrival. Stayed in Room 5, which had a Super King Bed and newly... More

I've made a few overnight stays in Plymouth in recent years when attending shows in the city, and have stayed in a number of establishments, and in terms of value for money & personal service the Rainbow Lodge wins hands down. I was in town for a show at the Pavilions, which is only a short walk away, as is... More

Rainbow Lodge is an absolutely outstanding place. The breakfast is perfect in every way - wonderful greek yoghurt and a fruit compote, fresh fruit, every kind of cereal you could think of, a wonderful selection of cooked breakfasts which are prepared to a very high standard. Three different kinds of marmalade are on offer from jelly, to fine cut, to... More

I was positively surprised by this small and lovely lodge in Plymouth. The owners are very hospital and absolutely adorable. The room was absolutely fantastic. I found much more comfort than I was expecting. My room as well as the toilet and shower room and the rest of the hotel was perfectly clean and nice scented. The location is strategic,... More

Really central location, so could park up and walk to the attractions, but on a quiet street so not noisy. Stayed here last night and were made to feel welcome from the minute we arrived - nice little touches like being offered fresh milk for our cuppa instead of the pots on the hospitality tray, (which was very well stocked... Overall impression was that this B and B is definitely over-rated. No way is it a 3 or 4 star (can't remember). Room was tatty, shower did not work, bed very squishy and uncomfortable. Dining room crowded, food average. Would not stay there again.

Well, I only stayed one night but found the place good value for money and Sue and staff cooked an excellent breakfast and made this lone traveller feel very welcome. I was able to walk into the city centre easily and then catch a bus to Paignton. It was close the The Hoe and an easy walk to the Marine... More

My friends and I had a wonderful time at Rainbow Lodge. Sue, David and there staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The place was spotless, the cleanest I have ever stayed in. Breakfast was also one of the best I have eaten, delivered to the table hot and tasty. The position of Rainbow Lodge was perfect for visiting the... More
