We had an ensuite double room with a wonderful view of the city. The decor was a tad dated however the new owners are working flat out to bring this wonderful tired old house back to life. We were enthralled with the quirkiness of the house from the hole in the floor of the flat owing to the recent flood... More

My husband and I arrived looking forward to a night with our family and then a weeks holiday abroad starting on the saturday morning but this B & B wasnt to be the start we expected. I was actually quite shocked that a B & B of this standard could exsist. The room was unclean, the cups for having tea... More

All the reviews which say 'avoid' should be listened it! Not sure where to start, tiny rooms, damp smell in rooms, dirty carpet, lights don't work, open pipework in room, dirty (shared) bathroom. I dont want to sound unfair but genuinely cannot find 1 thing i like about this place and the love has long been lost for this 'guest... More

I don't normally bother to read reviews before booking, but this was certainly a mistake. When we arrived we were shown to our room and told that it had not been hoovered, as the hoover was broken. The carpet looked as if there were lots of dog hairs on it. We were told that by the time we returned later... More

Whilst I dont object to payng on arrival, It would of been nice to of been shown the room first. When staying somewhere I usually ask myself 2 questions; 1, Would I let my Mother stay here ? 2, Is it as nice as or better than home ? Well with regard to number 1; No I wouldn't let my... More

For the money they charge this place should be avoided. Booked here because we wanted something a bit more homely than the local premier inn and were willing to pay a bit more. Three words: not worth it. For £120 for 2 nights you get: a double bed which is 2 singles of different heights pushed together, holes in the... More

We booked a room for the night but had to cancel due to a hospital appointment. Although we gave many weeks notice of the cancellation in line with the booking terms on the website we were not refunded any money. Weeks and weeks of poor excuses and lies have led to no refund or apology, even the threat of legal... More
