I am always reluctant to give a five rating on tripadvisor but anything lower in the case of the Grosvenor Hotel would be unfair in the extreme. We booked a room for the night here on the way back from a seven week trip to France. The ferry didn't get in until 21.30 so we thought we'd do the four... More

I stayed in one of the superior rooms, it was large, clean and had large windows to the quiet side street on which the Grosvenor is located. The bed was large and comfortable, but the sheets seemed old and worn. The bathroom smelled of bleach when I walked in and the bath had a large scratch in the enamel. The... More

The hotel is nice but the room couldn't be smaller. It has everything it needs and no more. (Thank goodness there isn't a trouser press which I find pointless.) The bathroom is spotless and new. The towel is adequate size and just the one. They have the little "we are trying to save the environment please reuse your towels" sign... More

I stayed for one night with my husband in August to celebrate his birthday. The hotel was exactly what we needed, perfect location and all the amenities you could hope for. The room was clean and bright, we opted for the rooms with the big bay windows and you could look out to see the sea. We used the bar... More

This was our first stay at The Grosvenor Plymouth and it will not be the last. From start to finish the staff were fantastic. The hotel was clean and the rooms although not huge were comfortable. The breakfasts were superb and the choices were outstanding. The overall package for the money was excellent! Can't wait to come and stay again!

HI, just back from Plymouth after visiting friends. for once Trip advisor let us down on this hotel. we got room 29 5th floor(no lift) its a listed building, room is one of the worst we have ever stayed in. Decor is something out of the 70's, do you remember when people use to put carpet on toilet seats, well... More

We stayed here for one night prior to catching the early morning ferry to Roscoff. It was lovely, very clean, friendly staff and ideally situated for the Hoe. The ensuite was very clean and complimentary toiletries were enjoyed. There was lots of hot water for a long soak in the bath and the towels were of a high standard. In... More

Just spent a night here in a superior room. Room was average size but very clean and fresh. Lovely bedding and clean bathroom with free toiletries. The bed for me was extremely hard and l woke a number of times with numb arms. There is no air con or fan in the room and although the windows did open they... More
