A little gem of a hotel, with staff that sparkle. From the very first welcoming hello, we knew we had made the correct choice when we booked this hotel. As a family group of ten we all agreed that the rooms we were given, were clean, spacious and well equipped. The breakfast also gave you a good choice too choose from.... More

It was great , the location is great very close to the hoe and the barbican . The staff unlike other reviews were amazing and went out and beyond to give us directions so thank you for that it made an impact , The breakfast was great nothing to complain about and staff very friendly . The cost was worth... More

We stayed at this hotel for one night last night, we had two rooms a twin and the penthouse. The twin was big enough for two of is to get ready without falling over each other, very clean and the beds were so comfy. The pent house was also a very clean and comfy room, and was worth the walk... More

We stayed last weekend for 2 nights, upgraded to a superior room based upon the hot weather and reviews stating that the high up standard room would be very hot. Our superior room was pleasant and clean but not as big and airy as we were expecting and we both kept banging into the bed walking from the chairs and... More

My friend and I arrived at 1pm. Now maybe it's just me but in many hotels I have stayed at if you arrive a bit earlier to check in and the room is ready they have let us check in. I mean why not? Instead we could leave our bags in the reception area and return at 2pm. I thought... More

The original structure of the hotel appears to be 2 adjacent properties dating back to Victorian days. No lifts are available and I was not informed of that during the booking process. the singe room I was given was in what I believe to have been , the original attic. From the reception level to the room I counted 60... More

dirty bath, officious staff, noisy guests and no telephone in room. no fan either and wifi kept breaking down. Ugh, never again. Breakfast was OK but selling pot noodles in the bar does not make up for no dining room. Staff were unhelpful to say the least. The room was tiny for two people and the weather hot so we... More

Dear Coral H. Obviously I am very disappointed to read your review and, (as you are fully aware due to our lengthy telephone conversation) have felt the need to leave a response for the benefit of other potential guests, as quite often with negative reviews there are two sides to every story... Firstly please accept my sincere apologies regarding the... More

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights and it was ok, we needed something last minute and so we thought we would give it ago. the only room they had left was a family room which was very small and I would of hated staying in there with more than 2 people as it would of been too over... More

I stayed here for two nights as a last minute booking. I read some of the reviews and wasn't sure but overall it went well. I arrived after a 5 hour drive, found a spot outside the hotel, and popped in. The reception is explained the car park was full but offered me the £3 all day pass for the... More

The family room was lovely and great value for a family of five. Excellent hotel. I have given four star rather than five because the coffee at breakfast is out of a machine and not nice, and the kids were charged extra for hot chocolate (that was practically all they had). Otherwise no complaints at all.
