Wow what a nice lobby! Love the little niche where you can sit and relax with the vintage clocks. Location good. Approx. 10 minute walk to the lighthouse, and 5-10 to the city centre and bus stations. Staff nice. Rooms clean, rather big for England. A lot of stairs though - had a sprained ankle so not that fun to... More

My husband booked the four-poster room as a treat on a trip to see James Taylor at The Pavillions. The room was beautiful, so uncluttered and lovely and clean. The bathroom would have graced a 4Star in London easily - heavenly shower and a bath you could have dived into! Breakfast and staff all A1. Try and Visit the open... More

We had an almost perfect stay at The Grosvenor. Our room was a good size, the staff were welcoming and the location is great. Unfortunately I left my brand new bottle of expensive cleanser in the bathroom and called later that evening to re claim it, however the hotel was adamant there was nothing left in the bathroom. I feel... More

One night stay in a very spacious pristine room. I understand the hotel has undergone refurbishment recently and everywhere was spotless and obviously quite recently decorated so I hope they keep this standard. The décor is modern and understated. Crispy clean sheets and towels. Suitcase rack would have been useful. Breakfast was ok and sufficient. All staff friendly and welcoming.... More

We have used this hotel every year for the last 10 years and since it was taken over about 5 years ago it has been revamped and improved for the better, the staff which you can't call staff they are like friends and can't do enough for you. The breakfast is second to none and they will try and serve... More

Stayed in the hotel for 1 night. Superb location right near the hoe. Staff were great. Carried my bike in for me ( not light) and put them somewhere secure. Room was fine, spacious, clean etc. The rooms were noisy though, could hear plumbing and talking etc. Breakfast was included though the breakfast room let it down. Down in the... More

We stayed for 3 days whilst visiting friends in Devon. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, the public rooms clean and fresh, comfortable and well furnished.Bedrooms were very clean and comfortable, and the bed and linen you will be soon asleep. Good choice for breakfast fresh fruit salad, greek yoghurt, normal cereals, and sizeable cooked breakfast. Another plus factor is... More

This hotel has a very pleasant exterior and is well presented inside. The paint work on doors and architraves is beautiful! The room was well equipped and comfortable, though a bit tight. Wardrobe and chest of drawers provided, but as a one night visitor, a luggage rack would have been preferable. Breakfast was included...delicious. Great location, short walk to the... More

We were one night at this hotel .It has an excellent location location close to the Hoe. Rooms are comfortable and service considerate and helpful . Breakfast quality was good though provided in a rather cramped basement restaurant area . Parking spaces provided by the hotel are limited which led to a need to feed a meter in the street... More

A very well presented hotel in a really good location for the Hoe, theatre, pavilions and city centre. Lovely decor and friendly helpful staff. Will definitely stay again. Very limited parking, if you have to park on roadside obtain a day pass from reception before buying your ticket!
