Stayed here on business recently for 1 night. Location is great as 5 minute walk to Barbican and for once the sun was out! Room was comfortable but a bit tired, TV had a welcome in teletext style with half the letters missing which was quite amusing. Room was at the front and was noisy couple of times during the... More

Holiday Inn Plymouth is in an excellent position close to Plymouth Hoe. The hotel was fine - rooms a little plain, but clean and otherwise ok. Meals at the hotel were fine too. We got a weekend 'deal' which was 2 nights bed and breakfast, with dinner 1 night, plus a bottle of wine waiting for us in the room.... More

This is a typical example of the ugly 1970's city centre concrete block hotel. Inside, though, the rooms are not as tired as you would expect, although the general feeling is of a slightly dingy hotel. What saves it from a 3 blob review is the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms and the general facilities. The swimming pool may... More

We stayed the night here after abandoning an awful hotel in Fowley Cross in Devon. We happened upon the Holiday Inn as it had a family room (most important). We had not planned for this stay at all. I have to admit that I really wasna't sure what to expect from a Holiday Inn but we needed a place to... More

The hotel is situated centrally in Plymouth with access to the Hoe and superb views across Plymouth to Dartmoor or to the sea depending on which side of the building your room is situated. Rooms are clean and the bathroom spotless. Breakfast was reasonably good value if booked in the package (or available as a cut price offer of £7.50)... More

Dear Guest, Many thanks for your extensive review with regards to your recent stay at the Holiday Inn Plymouth. I am pleased that you enjoyed our leisure centre, our latest investment in 2011. Hotel looking tired and a revamp is required. Dated hotel. poor showers although a new bilboard says different! They rely on coach trips too much.

Dear guest, Many thanks for your contribution. I would like to inform you that we had a new leisure centre and ballroom in 2011 and for 2012 a continuous programme of improvements are taking place in the rooms and public areas to name a few: new televisions by the end of 2012, new carpets in many public areas, several refurbished... I arrived last saturday evening after working all day in Shropshire at the Holiday Inn....Lisa the Reception Manager was so understanding when I explained the reason for my visit. My dad had tripped and fallen breaking his hip a week before which had necessitated my coming down to see him in between work schedules. Lisa allowed us to check out... More

This hotel penthouse restaurant with great views of Plymouth Sound has seen better days. A great value Sunday lunch carvery only attracted approx 20 diners and a children's party. The food is quite good and generous but unfortunately the hot servery was faulty so the veg was cold. The head waitress was extremely helpful and rescued the situation. The chair... More

We spent two nights here. The location is spectacular, right on Plymouth Hoe and near the shops too. The rooms were large and clean and well appointed although the television had a poor selection of channels. The staff were very helpful too.
