THis hotel is in a really good location near the centre of town. Some aspects are a little dated but our room on the first floor was clean and tidy. It was a cool night when we were there and the hotel had turned off the heating for summer. After talking to reception a heater was provided. Our tour deal... More

I stayed one night on business. I found the hotel to be a bit old and tired. The front desk staff were very nice. There was parking available (shoe horn please) however it was a £3 charge, ok that's not a massive charge but I feel parking should be free at a hotel. The room was clean but basic. Evening... More

Clean, spacious room. Friendly staff. Ideal location for visiting Plymouth. Everything is in close walking distance and Dartmoor is a short 10 minute drive away. Highly recommended! I would definitely stay here again!

Very disappointing hotel, location was its saving grace. The room was tired looking the TV did not work due to weak signal the beverage tray was missing the tea and coffee. Bedding was poor quality in fact duvet was very thin. did not use the restaurant so no comments on the food, we did have a late drink in the... More

I've used this hotel many many times and the best things about it are the location - walking distance from the Barbican and the Hoe - and the staff. However, the hotel is dire need of refurbishment, it is clean but very ugly and very dated. The food in the restaurant is nothing special, but the view is quite spectacular... More

Hotel showing its age in many ways and having a big refurbishment next year. Still has all you need, very good breakfast, excellent location just over the road from the Hoe and just a few minutes from the Barbican, excellent view across the Sound from the Penthouse (for breakfast and bar). Staff pleasant and helpful. Nice swimming pool with small... More

Don't expect too many frills from this hotel but if you want somewhere with easy walking distance to the Barbican, city centre or (as we wanted) The Theatre Royal the Holiday Inn will suit you fine. Pleasant and efficient staff and underground parking (if a little tight for big cars) and an extensive buffet breakfast made for a very pleasant... More

The hotel location on the Ho is excelllent, we had a room on the seventh floor which was clean and comfortable with great views. However what made this trip so special were the staff. Lisa the reception manager and Susie 'the specialist' who went out of their way to meet our needs. Also Damian 'the shy waiter' who gave excellent... More

Holiday Inns are average in many things & this one is no different. The bad points are the parking, which must have been designed by a car hating Smart car driver. Spaces are definitely tiny & manoeuvring a larger car is difficult. The bed was the most uncomfortable I have ever experienced & even though there were three beds in... More
