The general reception area was clean, tidy and welcoming. I was attended to quickly and checked in by friendly staff member who advised me where the Car Park was. The Car Park is in the basement and sub-basement of the hotel, be warned that this is probably one of the tightest car parks you will ever encounter. This is definitely... more

Well I just wonder if there are 2 Holiday Inns with views of The Hoe in Plymouth.Unlike the previous reviewer we found every member of staff that we encountered to be helpful, friendly, and cheerful. It's a Holiday Inn like all others apart from the fantastic views from the restaurant and upper level bedrooms.Breakfast service was incredibly efficient, lots of staff all rushing around... more

Having tagged a two night trip to Plymouth on to our holiday in order to visit a family member based at Devonport, we were faced with The Holiday Inn Plymouth. Having come from a Crowne Plaza and a Marriott during the previous week we were cautious. But having looked at hotels in Plymouth this was the best located and only... more

Lovely Executive room on the 8th floor with fantastic views of Plymouth Hoe and beyond. Pity the window only opened about 2inches, it would have been nice to have more fresh air, rather than air con. although I can understand the safety aspect, but just another 2 inches would have helped. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and on the... more

We have stayed at this hotel for the last 6 or 7 years, always in the Crown Rooms when it was Moat House and now Executive Rooms. Excellent location is one of the reasons we choose this year after year. The staff are fantastic. If you pay extra for the executive rooms these are larger than most hotel rooms in... more

This hotel was fine, quite good value, and wll located. Its quite an ugly building from the outside, but the rooms were good, but not great. There were amazing viewsfrom the Restaurand on the top floor. I would recommend this place as a basic place to stay whne in Plymouth. more

We stayed here for one Saturday night and were very impressed by the room and the service. We had a sea view room on the 9th floor that was huge! It was very clean, lovely and warm and everything worked! The hotel is right on the edge of Plymouth Hoe and only a few minutes walk to the main shopping... more

I had a 10 night stay in the Holiday Inn this time. This time I had an "Executive Room" on the 8th floor - much better standard than my colleagues' rooms or my previous rooms lower down - but much more expensive as well, I was paying 150% of what they were. The differences seem to be that there is... more

I don't think Plymouth is over subscribed with decent hotels so we went for this. Location is excellent, very close to the Hoe, theatre royal, barbican and the shopping area. The hotel isn't very attractive from outside, but neither is Plymouth city centre. I liked the penthouse bar, however tour room was damp and the views were spoilt by condensation.... more

Great location, close to shops and restaurants - Had an 8th Floor room at the front, which had a great view, but was a bit tired. Heating and TV didn't work properly. They tried to fix them but couldn’t..... As I was only there for one night I let it go.. Penthouse Bar was great, but Breakfast in the Restaurant... more
