Having read some earlier reviews it is with great pleasure that I can report that this hotel is not just fit for purpose but does in fact have a very accomplished Chef who has a good eye for presentation and produces top quality dishes at very reasonable prices! Furthermore the (on the whole) young staff do seem to have been... More

This is a professionally presented hotel spoiled a bit by inatentive staff. My breakfast order for delivery was ignored, better to take it to reception! Some staff more interested in talking amongst themselves than serving customers. My room was large and clean with all the expected facilities. Typical large corperate hotel no real complaints and I really enjoyed the very large... More

We stopped for one night for the Olympic Torch Relay. We arrived early and were surprised to hear that our booking had been cancelled, especially since I had made the booking months before and had received a confirmation email just two days before. That was quickly sorted and we were given room 408 on the top floor. The public areas... More

I appreciate this is a city centre hotel, but I've experienced a similar situation in the same chain at Gatwick. They charge you for parking your car which I think is a bit cheeky. I've been told it's explained on the website and no doubt it is, but it it sure doesn't jump out at you when you're booking. We... More

I stayed here for 5 nights in April 2012 and was extremely impressed. Very clean room, realllyyyy comfortable bed, great customer service, breakfast to your room, very polite and friendly staff, great central location :) only down side is small car park. Building looks a bit dirty on the outside, but don't let this put you off, its lovely on... More

Stayed at Copthorne Plymouth for 2 nights in April 2012. Stayed on 3rd floor over looking Sainsbury's carpark. Windows were closed so air conditioning fan could not be heard. Bedroom needed refurbishing. Box TV too far away from bed. Ceiling had a long uneven repair which stared at you while lying on the bed. Wall paper was marked and dusty.... More

Just spent a night on a business trip. I'd stay again if I was travelling through - as it is close to the railway station which is handy. I wouldn't stay for a holiday though. Good points: - 5min walk from train station (but you don't hear the trains from the hotel) - comfortable bed, nice pillows and duvet -... More

The location of this hotel and the fact it has parking is a big asset. I was upgraded to an exec room with free drinks but the decor was in need of a refresh (like all Copthorne hotels I have stayed in). My sat nav dropped me off in the middle of Plymouth as the whole area has the same... More

i booked this hotel on laterooms and for £50 per night is good value.I would not pay the £170 a night advertised in the hotel. You can park underneath the hotel and you can explore the centre of plymouth without using your car.The rooms are comfortable but a bit dated old fashioned tv but if you compare with travelodge the copthorne...
