Normally stay in Jurys, but must have been something on in Plymouth so went for the Novotel. Its on a roundabout off the A38. While the check in was quick and efficient, I basically had a key thrown across the desk at me. The room was ok, the toilet hadn't been cleaned though. Went to the restaurant, went for the... more

Just spent 5 days at the Novotel, Plymouth, having only ever stayed in Novotels in Canada up till now. Have to say we loved it and would definitely stay there again, the service especially in the restaurant and bar was great, nothing was too much trouble, not that the staff stood still for long, they were always very busy! Food... more

This hotel is too far outside of the town centre. It's located on a busy roundabout and between two dual carridgeways. This would be a very inconvinent hotel for anyone visiting on holiday, as you'd need to drive to the main attractions and pay for parking. For the same money (or less), you'd be able to find a hotel with... more

This was our third stay at this hotel so that must say something. My wife, 4 year old daughter and i were holidaying for 5 nights in the south west and this hotel is very central for exploring both Devon and Cornwall and is literally under the A38 so easy to get to. The positives:- the rooms are of a... more

First of all I regularly stay in hotel both for leisure and business. Normally at least once a week, and as you will see from my other reviews I keep a positive view on hotels. Out of all the hotels I have stayed in, and this includes hotels and hostels I stayed in when I was younger when backpacking around... more

Hotel was very basic and a bit dated but it was clean and the rooms were very spacious. The hotel is located right next to a busy motorway so could hear noise all night with the windows left open but if they were closed it would have been very quiet as we did not hear any of the other guests... more

Dont stay here if you want an evening walking around the Hoe or the Barbican.A "Businessmans" hotel which was emminently practical but totally lacking in atmosphere. At least two miles from the town centre.Breakfast OK. Outside swimming pool which this early in the year was definetly not in use. more

We stayed overnight on a roadtrip and so the Novotel suited our needs. The room and bathroom were large and clean, although the stained carpets weren't great! The food in the restaurant was ok but not fantastic and overpriced for what it was. (The staff were very friendly though). We decided to give the breakfast a miss! more

Conveniently located on the motorway that takes you to Newquay,Torquay and very close to Saltram House(shoot location for 'Sense and sensibility').Clean rooms, lovely breakfast(don't miss the waffles!) and very genial staff.Beware a particular French front-office staff who is unbelievably rude(even the rest of the staff there will vouch for this).Steer away from ordering food from your room as it tastes awful... more

Very good value for money, OK rooms... we were visiting Eden project, about 1hr away by car. Location is off the out of town bypass, so nothing much of interest in immediate vicinity. Restaurant was OK. more
