We stayed here for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We booked the Tower Room. The check in was hassle free. When we arrived at our room via our own staircase the room was breathtaking. We thought we had a 180 degree view of Plymouth but then we found another door which lead to two more floors up into the Tower itself... More

We stayed here for a three night break in August 2014, B & B deal and came away rather disappointed. The hotel from the outside looks fantastic, but that can't be said for the inside. When we arrived to check in, we weren't told where the breakfast room was or times etc. We were on the 4th floor. The room... More

We stayed just one night for a Cornwall visit. The hotel is very beautiful, nice, clean and with an old and fancy decoration, still remember the hotel old times. Parking is just behind the hotel with an easy access to the first floor. The breakfast was a little expensive but good quality.

I and my partner visited Plymouth to see family who live there and enjoyed a fabulous dinner in the hotel restaurant. Our double en-suite room on the 3rd floor was aired and very clean. Had a slight problem with delay in getting hot water but this was managed well by the Management and they were very kind to us the... More

This is an old hotel, indeed it is celebrating 150 years' of trading soon. It therefore looks like so many old-fashioned, dated and past-it "grand" hotels. But it isn't when you get inside. The staff are first class, the decor is fresh (although not all to my taste!), and overall it gave the impression of a hotel being well run... More

We stayed here for two nights to attend the British Firework Championships and left completely satisfied with every part of our stay. Our very large spacious room with separate seating area was clean, well presented and bright with the benefit of two televisions. The bathroom was fully equipped and clean with all the little extras you might wish for, we... More

We booked this hotel because it was cheap and decent looking. We didn’t really care that much as we were just on our way down to a cottage in Cornwall and just fancied a stop-over somewhere. The hotel is imposing and must have been very glamorous back in the day. Parking was easy as we arrived early. The receptionist was... More

Had the hotel receptionist asked me "Did you enjoy your stay" or made any enquiry as to my satisfaction when I checked out I would have advised her of my concerns rather than adding this review. Having left the room almost immediately after checking in mid afternoon, we only noticed the leaking toilet soil pipe on our return around midnight.... More

We stayed here for 1 night recently and had a superb stay. Arrived early aware that we couldn't check in till 2.00 but receptionist called up and our room was already ready so we could check in. Parked up in car park to the rear of the hotel. There are only 26 spaces but plenty of parking is available on... More

Being local to the hotel my wife and I decided to take up their offer of tea in the small tower area at the very top of the building To get up to the tower you have to climb many steep steps but that was expected having viewed the tower from the road Once up there you are presented with... More
