When we went into our room which was a master twin room, we thought that it needed desperately a refurbishment. The room looked very tired but then we noticed more. The wooden towel stand was full of dust and had clearly not been cleaned for some time, also the information book that would give all the information on the hotel... More

This hotel had unfriendly staff, no water for when we arrived, we had dirty towels, lots of traffic outside out window. We payed a high price expecting luxury as we normally get from a best western to be thoroughly disappointed. I would not come back

The hotel is located reasonably close to the town centre. Thanks to this it makes a great place to stay for a weekend. The car park is not that big but certainly saves having to use the pay parking in the area. The reception and bar staff are friendly. It is a very old building and retains some of the... More

I was glad that we arrived early as although the hotel states there is public parking available there are only 20 spaces. There is also on-street parking but the hours are restricted. The walkway from the car park to the hotel can be a little hit and miss as the door can sometimes be impossible to open from the outside.... More

I have walked past this hotel several times and often wondered what it was like to stay there, so on a recent visit to Plymouth to visit the Pavilions I decided to book a room there and was not disappointed. The bedroom was really clean and comfortable and very spacious and the breakfast was superb - all Staff that I... More

This is a very attractive looking hotel and looked after very nicely. With only one lift, sometimes I had to wait for ages to use it. The rooms are various sizes and shapes, immaculately clean and very comfortable. The bed in my single room was very small but had nicely laundered linen. The only small let down was that the... More

Its overpriced for its décor, location and general upkeep. But its not bad in any real way. Every room is different which means you are not quite sure what you are checking into. (a risk but an exciting one when you stay weekly for work reasons). Trouble is that there is only one remotely decent hotel in Plymouth centre which... More

Stayed for 2 nights, the room was great. The hotel has clearly spent money on refurbishment and its shows with deep thick carpets, comfortable beds, great furnishings and black out curtains. The bathrooms have also been renovated. In short the rooms are 5 star. There is an issue the road noise and some noise from the room above, but the... More

Having read Jackie G's review I wondered if I'd stayed the same Hotel! We stayed from 28/08/14 - 1/09/14. They had 2 parties or functions whilst we were there. They were audible but only annoying to the over sensitive, who, should always enquire about such things and ask for a remote room. It is old and our rooms were well... More
