What a crying shame. Such a stunning looking building and our stay started off so well with a couple of great girls on reception (checked in about 2.30pm Friday 29 August), chatty and friendly and very helpful. We had booked two single rooms and found those well decorated and extremely clean and, whilst small, more than adequate for an overnight... More

I was excited to be staying at The Duke of Cornwall - it has such an elegant exterior and when we got inside and I saw the grand and spacious public areas I was sure I had chosen well. However, after a 'rushed' check in and not made to feel at all welcome but more as if in the way... More

Stayed here with my partner for 3 nights, bed and breakfast, beautiful old hotel, yes some parts might need a wee bit of upgrade but all in all the whole character of the place was lovely, I felt I was staying in a very expensive posh hotel and expensive it wasn't , my only issue was our room was at... Stopped here one night in August whilst on business and overall it had good and bad points. The good did outshine the bad, the reception staff were excellent, the room was clean and tidy and looked as if they had recently been decorated. The situation of the hotel is great for the shops and restaurants however the car park is... More

Very nice old building from the outside. The rooms and the interior a bit worn. Had to wait long time for a prawn sandwich at 10 pm. Traffic noice through the one glass window. Choose rooms at the backside of the hotel if possible. But a lot of charm in this 140 year old hotel.

We stayed here for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We booked the Tower Room. The check in was hassle free. When we arrived at our room via our own staircase the room was breathtaking. We thought we had a 180 degree view of Plymouth but then we found another door which lead to two more floors up into the Tower itself... More
