I had booked this hotel as we were celebrating our anniversary in Plymouth as we had been before. I had booked a superior room for £ 105.00 from Booking.com and this gave us a very large room with a large wall mounted tele and a seating or living area with a large comfy sofa and table and two comfy chairs.... I have just spent a very enjoyable three nights at this hotel. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the Hoe and the Barbican. (If you want a more gentle walk to the Barbican take Notte Street and not Citadel Road!) All the staff were most friendly, helpful and welcoming. Having phoned the hotel first and speaking to a... Booked one night b n b in a premier double room. Hotel in excellent position for the shops/theatre/hoe and barbican lovely old building full of history and charm. The room was large and clean nothing to fault we had no view as we overlooked the rear of the hotel, there was a function on the night we stayed and yes... More

Hotel is nicely positioned next to the city centre of Plymouth. Stayed in a standard double room which is dated but eventing we needed. Bed was sunk in the middle and holes in the bed cover and blankets only let down

First time to this hotel. Plenty of history with the building. Some of the rooms need some attention but OK. Staff helpful and friendly. Nice greeting at the reception. Meals good value. Close to the Barbican in the harbour.

Brief overnight business visit and while there had been a mistake with the booking (at best western central reservations, not the hotel) this was a very pleasant stay. The car park is small but there were spaces available so no problem. The building is fantastic and the hotel offers very old world comfort. Good staff, comfortable rooms offering all you... More

I had an extremely lovely time staying here. It is a very peaceful and atmospheric hotel. It is a bit of old school class in the middle of Plymouth. It is in a lovely old fashioned english style which you don't tend to see much of anymore - what I mean is that it hasn't all been made plastic and... More

We recently attended a charity ball and was impressed at the quality of food together with impeccable service. A wonderful evening set in a jewel of Edwardian architecture. After dinner we were shown some of the recently refurbished rooms which were beautifully finished and in perfect keeping with the buildings grandeur. Can't wait to sample tiffin in The Tower with... I recently stayed at the Duke of Cornwall for two nights on business and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. I stayed in a superior double room (304) and felt it was decorated to a very high standard with great views across to the marina. I didn't have any issues with parking in the hotel car park, I arrived around 5pm... More
