Absolutely loved the stay. Meal was outstanding! Service was perfect with lovely staff. Building is a beautiful example of its Original state. Stunning. Considering this was only a work visit i Can't wait to stay again.

A beautiful building, maintaining a lot of its original features. The staff were very helpful, both reception and the breakfast waitress. It was a shame that the room had a strange smell and was in need of dusting (I was able to write in the dust).

What a beautiful building, the architecture and detail is outstanding. The interior however, although regal, is dated somewhat with shabby decor and dated colours. The rooms are not large but adequate. the beds are very comfortable and the service is great, very friendly and efficient.

I stayed here for one night on business. I feel almost guilty giving it a poor review as the staff are friendly and helpful but they're working within a crumbling empire which needs sorting. I'm sure years ago this was a very grand place. It is a now a shabby shadow of that. I booked a standard room and I've... More

We stayed here because the building is so beautiful. Our room on the 5th floor was large and quite comfortable if a little damp. The room was clean but shabby. The common areas are clean but grubby. There is a general aura of shabby chic. Service was functional and fairly efficient. We would stay there again but friends who visited... More

Stayed here for two nights, no welcome pack in the room on arrival so no idea what the hotel had to offer or how to contact reception. The bottom sheets on the bed were not big enough to cover. The blankets had holes in and toothpaste stains. No shelf in the bathroom to put toiletries on. Once we had voiced... More

Stayed in the Reynolds Tower Room, what a view!!! Shame previous clumsy residents had broken the telescope, but we were loaned a beautiful boxed alternative which was gratefully appreciated. We must return as I want to go up the locked staircase!!! xxxx Simon the Nightporter was such a helpful and welcome presence. If not for him, this review may not... More

My wife and I stayed here for a 2 night break, although the hotel is a littel scruffy on the outside, the rooms a quiet, well furnished and very comfortable, however what makes the hotel great is the kind service, only to happy to help attitude and good food and drink, Very hospitable hotel and will most certainly be back...
