I really wanted to like this hotel because it was on of the few in Plymouth that didn’t have a minimum two night stay policy at weekends. Unfortunately from the moment we arrived we were all too aware of its shortcomings. Firstly the car park is woefully too small. We arrived at 5:00pm on the Saturday and it was full... more

I have to say that I'm pretty fussy but the Duke of Cornwall didn't let me or my colleagues down. the rooms aren't huge but are very clean and well maintained, the food is amazing and the staff are very friendly and polite. I was in Plymouth for a conference and will certianly be persuading my boss to use the... more

We stayed here for 3 nights for a wedding and had a master bedroom at a reduced rate for wedding guests. The room was large with a very high ceiling and overlooked the front of the hotel but the decoration in the room left a lot to be desired. The wallpaper in certain parts was peeling and there appeared to... more

I stay in many hotels both for business and pleasure. I like hotels that are not large, bland corporate affairs. The main lobby and staircase area hark back to a upmarket victorian period. The decor is nice. The rooms are fairly small and pokey but okay. The staff are attentive. The upsides were that it wasn`t the usual bland modern... more

Reception areas all fine as are corridors, room was basic and seen better days apart from the new plasma TV. The shower though was horrific a 1970's stylie plastic connection that offered little more than a dribble - not impressed! Staff all ver friendly. Seemed to be located in 'shady' part of town, went on business would refuse to go... more

Stayed as part of my UK cycle tour, Check in was really friendly, helpful and efficient with my bike being stored quickly and effectively. Hotel is very nice looking, quite grand in its appearance with very good looking communal areas, my room was fairly small but I only needed a single so no issue. Very clean however with a good... more

The staff were great they helped us to find our way around Plymouth being strangers to the south west, the food was excellent and good value for money, the room was just what I was looking for as it was our honeymoon we treated ourselves to a fantastic four poster room. I will be back next year to celebrate our... more

Lovely looking hotel from the outside. A bit dated inside but that is what gives it the charm and difference of other drab concrete hotels. Rooms are clean and staff are excellent. Food is very good too. I have stayed several times on business and will do so again more
