What a beautiful hotel. Our stay was brilliant from the moment we booked in till the day we left. The hotel room was lovely clean and very welcoming. The staircase was out of this world. The staff could not have done any more than they did.

Great location for us from Plymouth Albion RFC. All staff we dealt with were a credit to the management. Small car park at rear but plenty of other options if full. Lounge bar is very traditional, good selection of drinks and snacks if required. We stayed in room 401 which was fine, no probs at all. Will use again next... More

A friendly greeting on arrival. Really helpful staff who go the extra mile to keep the client happy. The meals were excellent with lots of choice and the location was perfect. It's a good idea to shop around for the best price as they do vary quite a bit! Also, make sure that you get a Best Western rewards card... More

We had booked two nights here as we were down for my birthday. We have been a number of times and had booked a superior room no 104 on the first floor as we had used this room before. The room is very large and is above the entrance to the hotel. It has large clothing space with loads of... More

My husband and I shared a superior room and my son had a lovely double room, bot with en-suite. Having stayed at a couple of other hotels in the area to visit our daughter this was by far the best. A lovely old fashioned, character building, still being updated. Husband enjoyed his full English breakfast. All the staff were friendly and... More

Stayed here with friends for a show at the Plymouth Pavilions. Fantastic location, directly opposite the Pavilions. This is a large traditional style hotel with an impressive frontage. Room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Our friends were equally impressed with their room. Breakfast was hot, tasty and excellent choice, all staff were polite and... More

As a regular Best Western guest, it's convenient to use reward points for those essential things in life. We have stayed at the "Duke" on a number of occasions, the staff are always friendly and the location just by the Barbican ideal.

Did not stay in the hotel just attended a Jazz function there on a Sunday lunchtime. The hotel looked quite pleasant and the staff at reception were friendly and helpful We had parked in the smallish hotel car park to the rear and we were able to enter the building via a walkway and a door to the first floor.... Had room 509 Treat for us to go away for an evening and have a laugh at the Plymouth Pavillions booked The Duke of Cornwall because it was so close. Very impressed, receptionist was lovely really welcoming - room HUGE beautifully decorated, comfy, fluffy soft towels, loved the grandeur of the hotel and the old school lift and breakfast was...
