Attended a formal function in Plymouth. Warmly welcomed at Phantele Guest House although we arrived early. Rebecca and Simon very helpful. Location perfect for the City and adjacent bus stops. Comfortable and accessible accommodation. Breakfast offered a wide choice with an excellent and varied cooked breakfast menu. Family run - very friendly team who certainly went that extra mile. This was my second stay at this hotel and I will stay again when in Plymouth. On each occasion I was greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. The Hotel is in good decorative order, clean and warm. It is like staying in my own home but in another town. A good breakfast is available each morning. I would recommend... More

Possibly the most comfortable beds we've slept in at a hotel/B&B. Rooms were clean, bright and tidy. Service levels were top notch and breakfast was very good. For us the location for us was ideal and the hosts very accommodating. Would recommend.

We booked a family room for a visit to Plymouth to drop our daughter off at University. A really pleasant surprise - a lovely couple run this guesthouse and they are really friendly and helpful. Great hosts and a really excellent breakfast.

We booked a family room for one night after stepping off the ferry from France. The welcome was friendly and the service was excellent. A hearty, cooked breakfast in the morning gave us a good start to the day. The hotel was clean, warm and with one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! We will definitely... More

Whenever I visit Plymouth, Phantele Guest House is where I stay. I can rely on the friendly service and warm welcome by Stewart and Rebecca. They are always willing to go the extra mile. For instance, I recently attended an outdoor movie and Rebecca found me a folding chair to take along! I find the decoration and fittings comfortable and... More

We booked in December 2013 to stay in this guest house in June 2014. W e selected Room 1 which was described as "light and airy". When we arrived we were given the key for Room 11 (I think). When we queried this we were dismissed with a comment that "we have had a bit of a move around!". When... More

The Phantele Guest house takes seriously the comments of its patrons. As a result we feel it is important to respond to the criticism by chris0yorkshire. We pride ourselves on fresh decor throughout the Phantele. Our guest book attests to the cleanliness, tasty generous breakfasts, and friendly welcoming atmosphere that we strive for. Because our building was constructed in 1893,... More

Stayed at the Phantele Guest House over a weekend during mid-august 2014. It appears that this guest house had undergone a major refurbishment within the last six to nine months and there was plenty of evidence of a makeover with lots of warm tones and colours, new carpets and decoration. Our room was very clean and of a high standard.... More

I was struggling to find reasonably priced Plymouth accommodation at last minute. I looked at The Phantele on a booking website which said it was full, however there was a note that said even if it showed full to try the B&B. I sent an email and later Stewart called to say there had been a cancellation and he had... More

Travelling South West England you must not miss Plymouth. And although Phantele is not downtown, the walk took us only 30 mins to the harbour. Taxi is about 8 pounds after you checked the cool habour bars. Rooms clean, quiet!, friendly and spacious. Breakfast with Porridge and even Nutella (unforunately the Lidl remake), but outstanding were our young host family... More

We agree that no one should miss Plymouth off of their travels! The city has so much to offer. Nice to know you enjoyed your stay and we hope to see you again on your travels. Stella always appreciates a fuss from dog friendly guests, all the best. Stewart and Rebecca More
