The "landlady" es very kind, careful and attentive. Everything was clean and the breakfast was very complete. I would recommend if you dont want an expensive hotel and you don't mind to have less stars...

Stayed here for a night, as we were unable to get one of our usual hotels, for the price we paid I wasn't expecting much, what we got was a clean comfortable guest house with an excellent breakfast and a landlady that quite clearly takes an interest in her guests. We will most definitely be back in fact we will... More

It's really not as bad as some of the reviews say it is. For one night and the price it is good value for money. Yes it is out dated and the bedrooms need up dating, but it was clean and smelt nice (Air fresheners in place) the lady that runs the place was very nice and welcoming and made... More

Spent two days here to attend an event in Plymouth. Very handy quiet location, just west of the famous Plymouth Hoe, and an easy drive to the ferries. The shopping centre and the Barbican are a little further, but still walkable. We were welcomed by the friendly owner, Wendy, and shown our room. It was an ensuite double, and whilst... More

I stayed at the Old Pier Guest House last night with my boyfriend. On arrival I rang the number stated on the door continuously for 15 minutes and then tried ringing the door bell. After driving 2 hours I explained to Wendy the owner that I had been ringing her for a while to be replied to very abruptly. I... More

Stayed here last night for one night, me and a friend stayed here for a trip to Plymouth shopping and then a night out. When booking I spoke to the lady twice on the phone, she seemed lovely and I thought I'd ignore the other reviews, when we arrived again the lady was lovely, showed us to our room, was... More

Place clean owner very nice but the room was still back in the sixties woodchip wallpaper old carpet hairdryer useless towels like sandpaper one had a hole in it. The room was small and musty no headboards the only modern thing was the TV. Breakfast is down steep staircase in the basement. You are expected to take your shoes off... More

The rooms are very comfortable and very clean, the proprietor is a lovely lady who cooks the most delicious breakfast I have had in a long time. There is a wide selection of cereals, fresh juice and fruit available for those who want a quick breakfast but the best value is to have the "Big Breakfast" which consists of sausages,... More
