We arrived quite late in the evening as our ferry from France had been delayed. There was somebody waiting for our arrival and after they showed us to our room they re-opened the bar to allow us a nightcap. Lovely cosy room, super breakfast, great value all in all.

Ok, so here is the thing....I have read some scathing reviews, and if you want a five star hotel, then pay for a five star hotel and you can expect perfection. We recently spent 4 nights in a family room at this lovely B & B. The Inn has great charm, yes it is old, and perhaps needs a little... More

I booked a room here as it was very close to the location of an early morning business meeting. A recent review had left me uneasy about my decision. On arrival I was pleasantly surprised, my single room was cosy, quiet and had a comfortable bath, I slept well and had a well presented cooked breakfast. Yes, a little dated,... More

Arriving at the hotel we were a bit shocked at the very poor upkeep of the car park and the unkempt appearance of the flower beds that front the hotel. We arrived a 9pm and the lady in charged made us lovely sandwiches of our choice in super fresh bread. The room although may be a bit dated was very... More

I honestly cannot fault the helpfulness of staff and the quality of service and the wide availability of breakfast on offer. The room was very clean and had everything I needed including tea and coffee making facilities, desk area, wifi and tissues which are often a rarity. The decor and bathroom was very dated though and the window frames were... More

Having booked this accommodation through an International airline and shown photos of what to expect, how shocked we were, from the time we entered the shabby driveway to the dingy entry and so called reception.Taking the creaky stairs and worn carpets to our 1940's style room, immediately closing windows due to loud traffic noise and upon first use of the toilet... The overriding factor for giving 5 out 5 for Millstones was the care of the staff who went out of their way to help and accommodate our needs, and make us feel almost as though we were staying with old friends. We had to travel for a funeral and were only staying the one night. The problem was that the... More

Well, where do I start - the photographs that are used to advertise this hotel must be from when it first opened, many moons ago. On entry this is what I was expecting - but to my horror, it looked like a run down hotel. There is now no grass at the front and just a car park, the whole... More

Having stayed in Millstones before we knew what to expect and this time was no different than any other which was PERFECT. the room was cosy and the free WIFI is also an added extra. The food was excellent we explained to the staff that we were vegan and they cooked us a meal far better than any other hotel... More
