Stayed for 1 night in The Ragged Jack Room. Beautiful dual aspect room with stunning views. Room very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast amazing and, although we didn't eat there, the evening meals looked good. The staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again. Arrived home relaxed and revived. My only grumble is the lack of wi-if in the... More

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights for our honeymoon. It is not the usual type of hotel we would book as it was s surprise wedding gift for us, but we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was very clean, beautifully decorated, and the service was wonderful. We didn't eat in the restaurant for dinner, but breakfast was... More

Booked a weekend away to stay at this well appointed hotel. First class service from the time we checked in till we checked out. Matt what extremely efficient and could not have done anything more to make our stay a memorable one. Will certainly return!

The hotel was lovely and very quiet. The cooked breakfasts was fantastic. The view from out room on the second floor was great looking out to sea. Great location, go through the side of the hotel to the funicular railway to take you down to Lynmouth. The walk down to Lynmouth was good too, even through a bit of a... More

We had a couple of nights here in September 2015. we were in Room 2. Quite large and great views. Very typical of the small English hotels you find all over the country. Clean, friendly and good food. Good variety of cooked breakfasts as part of the deal, included Eggs Benedict which was a surprise as there are usually at... More

We mixed up our dates and managed to arrive 24 hours early - but Russ was utterly unflappable and took it all in his stride. The hotel has a lovely relaxed atmosphere, feeling as much like a large family home as a hotel. The views are amazing and despite being within walking distance of the charming centre of Lynton it's... More

We loved it. Beautiful decoration, lovely welcome, beautiful views. Delicious breakfast. We would definitely return. Every room is beautiful. Spacious. Elegant but not starchy. We recommend this hotel without hesitation.

We stayed at this hotel in August to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary and had high expectations as the reviews seemed good and the description and price gave the impression of a high quality hotel. Unfortunately, despite being advertised as a luxury hotel it does need a bit of TLC. It is in a good location as long as you... More

We chose Seawood for its position and its views and wasn't disappointed, a sea view is a must. We only did b+b as the website stated its restaurant would be closed during the summer months, so we made alternative arrangements but on arrival evening meal would have been available. The rooms and bathrooms were well decorated and very comfortable. Very... More

Seawood is a lovely hotel in a lovely village, and in a great location - near everything yet in a very peaceful and quiet nook, with fantastic views. The lounge areas feel like comfortable, luxurious private living rooms, and the rooms are cozy and beautifully decorated (I had a chance to see a few, in addition to our own). I'd... More
