Top class decor in an elegant residence. The View from the large suite was tremendous and well worth the bit extra to see it. Scrambled eggs were the best we ever tasted but they wouldn't divulge the recipe sadly. A few steps away from Lynton and a short walk or a ride on the verticular down to Lynmouth. Lovely place... We chose the Seawood because of its good reviews on tripadvisor, and it was easy to see why it gets such good feedback. Russ and Karinder were very friendly and welcoming, and the place and position are lovely. We found Russ' welcome very friendly and helpful, especially the information about local walks. Our room was lovely with an amazing view... More

As we pulled up outside to the Seawood hotel we couldn't help but notice that the exterior was in in need of a little tlc.it slightly spoilt our expectations... However on entering the hallway we were pleasantly surprised. It was warm and welcoming. To be classed as a boutique hotel I would have expected the furnishings to be a little... More

myself and hubby came to visit may this year just for the night and had such a fab time. In lynton there was lots to do and the hotel was conveniently located to travel down below which was a great experience. The hotel itself was spotless, breakfast was great, parking was good and the owners truly made us feel welcome... More

We stayed here for two nights. The room ( Countisbury Suite) was very nice, very clean and well appointed. I have looked up the definition of " boutique Hotel" and am not sure that it is appropriate here. The views were lovely. I thought the Kitchenette area of the room a little bizarre as it consisted of a sink, some... More

This is a gorgeous hotel, perched high atop Lynton in the Exmoor Natioanl park, looking over the harbour town of Lynmouth. After a slightly nerve-shredding journey up very steep hills we arrived and got a wonderful welome from Russ, the owner. I've read some people have had a problem with his in-depth welcome taking us through the hotel's facilities, local... More

On arrival Russ the proprietor was waiting to greet us in person (no impersonal foreign staff here) He made us feel very welcome and was very helpful and informative. Unlike some hotels he showed us to our room, unlike the usual "here's you key now sort yourselves out" He seemed very keen to know we were happy with everything, which... More

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome and we had an amazing stay - just wish we could have stayed longer. The owners are always on hand to make your stay a special one. Location is great, especially if you like walking. Views from the bedrooms lovely and the hotel atmosphere is so peaceful - can't... More
