Lovely hotel in an amazing location in Lynton, just at the top of the railway and with wonderful views. The hotel nestles on the edge of the cliff in a wonderfully lush and quiet setting, although it was easy to find and access is good. We didn't have forward facing rooms and still got to see the sea from our... more

Just spent 3 brilliant days in Lynton at the Seawood Hotel. Do not be put off by the 2 stars or Tripadvisor calling it a B&B, it isn't. What it is, is a really comfortable small hotel. Weather was perfect for walking and the scenery in and around Lynton and Lynmouth was amazing. We stayed in one of the rooms... more

Thank you Kerinda and Russ for making my week at Seawood so special - you are the perfect hosts. This is a beautiful small hotel in a spectacular position overlooking the bay (wonderful views from my pretty bedroom ). Nothing is too much trouble for Russ or Kerinda and Kerinda is an excellent chef - the 5 course evening dinner... more

We went to the Seawood Hotel for a weekend in May on the spur of the moment from the Midlands. We strolled around the cafes and beach of Lynton & Lynmouth and experienced the astonishing walks around Countisbury / Foreland Point to the East and the Valley of the Rocks to the West. The coastal footpaths are really unrivalled in... more

Great food (let them know if you don't want full five courses or they will just arrive!), lovely location with mature trees and birds right outside windows, welcoming and friendly host and hostess - nothing too much trouble. They went out specially to get us fish from the market. Room rather small with dated bathroom, but about to be knocked... more

The hotel is in a wonderful position being on the North Walk and having the Cliff Railway down to Lynmouth a moments walk away. We were made to feel very at home and the food was fabulous. The room was spotless, with wonderful views and a really comfy bed. The bathroom was a bit small and I didn't like the... more

We really enjoyed our weekend break at the Seawood Hotel, particularly the stunning location, fantastic food and great staff. The lovely Victorian style villa has been beautifully decorated, especially the bedrooms (ours was a delightful four poster). There was a great choice of breakfasts freshly cooked to order using local produce. The comfortable bar was perfect for a relaxing pre-dinner... more

Seawood Hotel is a good size family run hotel. All rooms we saw (as there were a few of us!) were pleasantly furnished, comfortable and clean. Our four poster bed gave us some good nights sleep which is unusual for us. The hosts Kerinda and Russ and all their staff are friendly and were eager to make our stay as... more

The rooms were in a Victorian style with sea views. The food was of a good standard and very tasty. It was great to park up the car and just leave it. The costal walks are fantastic and breath taking. The owners were helpful and encouraged a friendly atmosphere. Would definitely go again. more
