We have just spent a most enjoyable week at the Seawood hotel. If your looking for a quite relaxing hotel this is the place. The bedrooms are large, light and airy, very clean, well appointed, and extremely quite, with superb views of the Devon coastline and beyond. The owners Russ and Karen were helpful, friendly and put 100% into making our stay enjoyable.... More

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome and we had an amazing stay - just wish we could have stayed longer. The owners are always on hand to make your stay a special one. This is the fourth time we have stayed at the Seawood and again it was a comfortable stay with welcoming hosts. Whilst we have stayed in the recent past don't think we have taken advantage of the hotels superb location for walking as we have done this time. The walk from the hotel to the Hunters Inn and back via... More

We stayed in the spacious, lovely Countisbury Suite. It has a small kitchenette and a small room, ideal for suitcases. Superb views across the Bristol Channel to Wales. Wonderful breakfasts supplied by the very welcoming hosts, Kerinda and Russ. Lots of things to do directly from the hotel, the spectacular coastal path to the Valley of the Rocks and beyond,... More

Very friendly and welcoming owners. Beautiful room on the top floor with incredible views from here and the breakfast room. Great tips/info from the owners on Valley of Rocks /White Lady etc. Recommended it to my parents who stayed there a couple of weeks later and loved it. Need to go back as we didn't get time to use the... More

Thank you very much to the owner and his son for a lovely experience visiting your hotel for afternoon tea. The afternoon tea was the best one of our holiday. We sat outside on the terrace overlooking the bay, a lovely spot to sit and relax. Nothing was too much trouble. Your hospitality was superb, would love to think we... More

Great Place, however, when it comes to hosts, one has to consider personality clashes! For us, we felt uncomfortable by the hosts over confident lecture on where to go, what to do, rules of the house, etc, that each guest received before being even shown to one's room. Dealing with the general public is never easy, and one has to... More

We stayed in room 10 - (Lynmouth Bay) could not fault any aspect of the room or the bathroom and the views are beautiful. Ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel both were fantastic. We will be recommending this beautiful gem to... More

'If only'.......all small sub-10 bedroomed privately owned hotels in this country were as delightful, so......... 'thank goodness' for The Seawood Hotel. All the positive observations to date precisely reflect our experience. This hotel represents a benchmark and a lesson in how to run a hotel efficiently and well given the increasing & ludicrous impositions imposed by endless new government regulations.... More
