Everything is in the title of this review......what more could you want ? As an aside we stayed here and met an Australian couple who were spending a couple of months touring the UK and they doubled the length of their stay on the basis of how good the food was!! more
What can I say? Polite service, breathtaking seaviews, amazing area! Room was cosy but we didn't spend much time in as there is plenty to see and do in Lynton and Lynmouth. Dining experience wonderful - fireplace in the lounge, excellent wine, brilliant food and unintrusive service. Breakfast was very fulfilling with views over sea and delightful classical music in... more
We stayed for four nights in early March. We stayed on a winter deal which was available on their nicely presented website meaning the cost of a room and breakfast was under £65 a night. Room The house is spacious with high ceilings and large windows - our room was up on the top floor (three in total) and was... more
We had a lovely stay here at The Choughs Nest and found the hotel and owners very acommodating. Our double room was of adequate size and had fine views of the bay. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was newly furnished. We had both had a drink and light supper in the very comfortable sitting room and dining room. Breakfast was... more
my family (2 adults, 2 children aged 11 & 15) had a pleasant stay at Choughs Nest Hotel. This is a service we have not experienced for many years as people seem to vanish... more
We booked room at short notice and got what we thought was good deal of three nights for the price of two but when we arrived we could see why! The room No 4 was small. To be fair they did advise us it was a smaller room - but this was SMALL. You had just enough room to walk... more
Myself, two brothers and one sister try and meet up once a year in a different location, as we are spread from Yorkshire to Cornwalll, Hampshire and Buckinghamshire, so, inevitably, do not have many chances of seeing each other in a year, due to the normal commitments we all have. This year the decision was taken to go to Devon,... more
My husband and I booked in for the Whitsun Bank Holiday weekend during which time we would be celebrating our wedding anniversary. Despite the awful wet British weather, we found this haven of quaint charm high on a hill in Lynton. The family who run the Coughs Nest are pleasant polite and clearly enjoy looking after their customer. The room... more
