Room had a very comfortable bed and the view was stunning. The bar, whilst small, was comfortable and again, amazing views. Breakfast excellent. We would definitely stay again. Great walks nearby and the staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful especially the young lady who did breakfast and cleaning and dinner from the Czech Republic she did everything with... More

This hotel is one that must be experienced to appreciate the effort being put in by the owners and staff to provide a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We stayed in the junior suite. The views from the rooms were stunning. Our welcome on arrival was faultless. We enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant on our first night. The menu... More

Thank you for your comments, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay. This November we have exciting plans to complete two more projects. This will then complete our refurbishment and renovation project, whereby every room will offer a sea view. We look forward to seeing you again in the future. regards Bill More

Sea views superb and situated close to town and local walks so we had a good stay in Lynton. However, we chose a hotel rather than a guest house so we could relax during the day and we were looking forward to enjoying the view from the gardens and terrace. What a shame the bar was closed during the day.The... More

Thank you for your comments. The bar is open during the day, and the member of staff on Reception only a few metres away, covers this duty. We offer at least ten main courses on our evening menu, which is double that of our competitors. This way, we aim to provide a wider choice every day of the week, and... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed for a few nights and had a wonderful time. We arrived and we were greeted by a friendly receptionist and given the key to the Tower Suite. The room was large, very comfortable and had a lovely bath - perfect for relaxing in after a long day walking! On the first night, we are in... More

Stayed in a balcony room for two, for weekend break. Nice hotel with stunning sea views and to a good standard. Our room's bathroom was dated, but the manager said it is due for refurbishment shortly after our stay. Dinner in the evening was nice, a little expensive for what we had, but again a stunning view (next to open... More

Very nice, great views, staff very helpful, new owners ( a year) sorting out refurbishment but not intrusive in any way. Will be a quality hotel. Highly recommended. Food Good but could be a little better. Value for money yes.

Thank you for your comments, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay. The Balcony rooms are always popular, especially in the glorious weather that we have been having this summer. The two Ground floor rooms with private terraces, also offer a similar atmosphere. regards Bill More

We only decided to go to Lynton last minute so we looked into hotels in the area and booked a great deal with Lynton Cottage Hotel only a few hours before our arrival. Upon arrival we were stunned by the breathtaking views from the front of the hotel and from our room. The room was comfortable and clean and there... More

Stayed at Lynton Cottage Hotel for a couple of nights in recent good weather. Booking a balcony room was therefore a good move. The position and views from the hotel are magnificent. I think the hotel is described variously as luxury and country house style but I'm not sure it fits my idea of either of those descriptions. However, it... More

Thank you for your comments, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay. We have now refurbished both of the Balcony bathrooms since your recent stay with us. We took on rather a large project when we took over a year ago, and have focussed on those areas that would have most impact upon our Guests. We are awaiting the end... More

This was our second stay at this lovely hotel. They have the most comfortable beds ever. The new menu is rather nice. All the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the walk down to Lynmouth. We enjoyed the breakfasts which set us up for a good walk. We didn't use our car at all as there is also... More

Lovely small hotel - wonderful view from spotlessly clean bedroom - breakfast excellent - service very good - all in all a great find. The walk to Watermeet was 4 miles there and back but was worth it - National Trust serving good food and coffee and abundant birds to see in their garden.
