Rooms very well furnished & bathroom has everything you need and a terrific supply of toiletries. Homemade cake greeted us on our tea tray when we arrived (nice touch) John & Sally were helpful and friendly. Breakfast a little earlier than other B&Bs but an excellent selection with fresh fruit a welcome addition. We enjoyed our stay on our final... More

My partner and I stayed for 2 nights at Easter. We were made very welcome by hosts John and Sally. They really get all the basics spot on, lovely warm spacious room, comfortable bed, piping hot shower, spotlessly clean with all sorts of thoughtful touches provided. Shower gels, shampoo, deodorant and all manner of bits and bobs that you may... More

Spent 2 nights at The Denes and found John and Sally very warm and welcoming. They offered helpful suggestions to assist us in planning our days. Enjoyable breakfasts plus homemade cake when returning after walking was much appreciated.

My husband and I stayed at The Denes with our 9 month old daughter for three nights. Our room was very large, comfortable, and nicely furnished. John and Sally were wonderful hosts, being very friendly and helpful in guiding us toward worthwhile sites, and also very good with our daughter. Breakfast was good, and the complimentary slices of cake left... More

We spent the bank holiday weekend at The Denes and were very happy with the service provided. On arrival, we were warmly welcomed by John and Sally. We booked a double room with private toilet and bathroom (to help save a few pounds) across the hallway. The room had everything that we required and more with lovely touches such as... More

Nice touch to leave large bottles of toiletries and emergency pack for female visitors. The breakfast was perfectly cooked by John and served by Sally. The... More

We had a smallish room with various nice touches, such as hand cream, biscuits and cakes. Good free wifi. Reasonably priced. Hosts friendly (but we gather they are trying to sell the business). Slight irritation that breakfast has to be ordered the night before, together with a time slot.

Thank you Sue and David for your kind comments, pity you could not have stayed longer. You could have had a larger room but I think price was a consideration. It is not unusual with B&Bs and Guesthouses to request breakfast orders the evening before hand as it prevents wastage and allows timely food preparation. Glad you liked the cakes... More
