Set in a beautiful valley, a short walk of Lynton and the stunning North Devon coast, Woodlands is a great base from which to explore. A fine traditional stone country house with spacious and well appointed rooms provide a relaxing and comfortable retreat. Steve and Lesley are great hosts and Steve's full English breakfast, with locally sourced produce, sets you... More

This was our second stay at Woodlands, having first visited last September. Lovely warm welcome from Steve and Lesley, and bonus points for serving breakfast on hot plates! The Watersmeet room is spacious, very comfortable and the wet room is fabulous. Will definitely stay here again.

The welcome we received from Steve and Lesley was friendly, warm and hospitable. Nothing was too much trouble - frothy milk with coffee and chilled Prosecco on the patio watching beautiful greenfinches and goldfinches after a day's walking in the stunning Devon coastal countryside was a perfect end to the day. Very comfortable and clean rooms and Steve's home-cooked breakfasts... More

My husband and I have just returned from spending our 10th wedding anniversary at The Woodlands during a 3 night stay and we could not have had a better time or felt more relaxed. Firstly we were made to feel so welcome by Steve and Leslie and nothing was too much trouble. Steve made us a pot of tea on... More

We were lucky enough to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary at Woodlands at the end of June 2015. We were very warmly welcomed, Lesley and Steve are wonderful hosts and are doing a great job. The room was amazing with a fantastic view and very comfortable and clean. Breakfasts were very good, best scrambled eggs I've had in years. There... More

I stayed here for two nights with my husband, my parents and my Nan who is 92. We had a lovely welcome with tea and shortbread biscuits and then given a choice of rooms between us, it was hard to choose as all the rooms were lovely, all beautifully presented. My husband and I stayed in the Watersmeat room which... More

My fiancee and I stayed for two nights in late May. Having stayed at many B&B's, this is easily one of the best in the UK. Not only is it in an amazing location with parking, the whole building is spotless and the hosts Lesley and Steve are friendly, kind, and were genuinely interested in their guests. After mentioning we... More

Although having just taken over a few weeks ago Steve and Leslie run a first class B&B. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and very comfortable and breakfasts excellent. We will certainly return and urger others who are in the area to give them a try.

Lesley and Steve were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. When we arrived at Woodlands Lesley made us a cup of tea, sat with us and talked with us to make us feel at home. The house is a very nice place to stay. Our room was immaculate and the breakfast was excellent. We were given lots of... More
