second visit here (july 8-10). Andy was again a mine of information on where to vsit and where to eat in and around lynton. the rooms that we have stayed in were as good as it gets and provided wonderful nights sleep. the food on offer is also very good with loads of choice at breakfast.

We visited Woodlands again this year and are evermore impressed with the renovations that Jo & Andy have undertaken - this is a guest house that gets more appealing the more you visit. This time we introduced my relatives to Woodlands and they too were incredibly impressed. We had the two larger rooms and despite the fact that a new... More

“We were in the Watersmeet room which had a lovely big balcony. My parents were in the Countisbury room which had a beautiful bay window overlooking the many bird feeding stations. Both rooms are very large, beautifully decorated and have very comfy beds. The wet rooms are very luxurious and a real treat. The whole house is spotlessly clean and... More

Arriving here we were looking forward to a relaxing time away, and that's exactly what we got. A beautifully located building with a stunning newly refurbished interior, with the temperature just right and a nice cup of tea waiting for us on arrival (nice cuppa, that). To cap off a thoroughly enjoyable stay at woodlands, Jo and Andy were incredible... More

We just came from Woodlands and i loved it! The rooms are perfect, the whole guesthouse looks beautyfully decorated but also very welcoming. The hosts made all the difference: Jo and Andy are amazing, they make you feel at home from the moment you arrive (with a pot of tea and advice about the surroundings) until the moment you have... Probably the best guest house we have come across. The house has been beautifully renovated and stylishly furnished with considerable attention to detail. Andy and Jo made us very welcome and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable and friendly environment.

Our stay at Woodlands was wonderful. It is one of the rare and very special guest houses we've stayed in where we felt completely at home in a beautiful, tastefully renovated house which has a lovely atmosphere. Andy and Jo made us so welcome and at ease, and had gone to a great deal of trouble to ensure that every... More

having stayed in many hotels and guesthouses, i would rate this the best of them all. My husband and i have just stayed 3 nights for our wedding anniversary. Jo and Andy cannot do enough to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. And the accommodation is 5* in every way. I will recommend it to everyone.
