The hospitality and food are faultless. This was our second visit and will not be our last. Andy and Sue make you feel very welcome and comfortable. The breakfasts and evening meals were fabulous - forget traipsing around the local restaurants and pubs (you'll be hard pushed to find anything that comes close in terms of both quality and value... more

We enjoyed ourselves in Linton in a beautiful house with the most perfect hosts. The room was clean and was well-equipped. Breakfasts were excellent with Andy's great cooking. Both our hosts had great suggestions for walks in the area which turned out to be exceptional, not too easy and not too hard and all with breathtaking views. more

Perfect.

We read the reviews on Trip Advisor and can say that we were not disappointed. Sue & Andy are great hosts - nothing too much trouble for them. They work hard at making sure everyone is well taken care of. They were able to give us some excellent ideas on what to see and do whilst in Lynton. Our room... more

We stayed at the Southcliffe at the first bank holiday in May. We received top notch service from the friendly owners, Sue and Andy . Our Canadian friends were impressed with the B&B hospitality of the Southcliffe!! Breakfasts were freshly cooked, original and delicious! They are very genuine hosts who take pride in offering quality accommodation in a beautiful setting.... more

Very friendly hosts, running a spotless and very comfortable Guesthouse. Food warrants a five star rating. Dinner is probably unbeatable in Lynton or Lynmouth for quality. Over the years we have stayed in a many B&B's around the country, and we would certainly place Southcliffe in the top quartile. more

Had an all too brief stay of 3 nights with Sue & Andy, but was made to feel very welcome. The room was comfortable with everything we needed and was always kept spotlessly clean on our return from our days out walking. We had not only breakfasts, but excellent evening meals which together with the wine, were extremely good value.... more

We've just had a lovely (sadly too short) stay in Southcliffe. Sue and Andy are great hosts - friendly, helpful, laid-back, and full of useful suggestions. We had one of the balcony rooms facing the town and hills, which was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I particularly appreciated the little personal touches which made the place that much more welcoming... more

My husband and I actually stayed here for a couple of nights May 2005. The guest house is a lovely old house with character. Our room was comfortable, spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was very good with the usual cooked breafast, cereals etc. The guest house is situated in Lynton and there is a nice walk through the wood... more

We spent two nights at SouthCliffe, having booked via the internet. We did some excellent walking around the fantastic coast and on to Exmoor. The breakfasts are highly recommended-for variety, quality and quantity. We had a balcony room which was spotlessly clean. It was a pleasure to find the entire guesthouse to be heated during our stay as it was... more

This is a charming guest house located very near the centre of Lynton. The owners (Sue and Andy) were extremely pleasant and friendly, meeting us when we arrived and upgrading us to a balcony room as it was a quiet time of year. The room was lovely and tastefully furnished; the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was impeccably... more
