We can't comment on the hotel but the restuarant was excellent. You are made to feel more like a house guest than an a customer. When you go in, you wait in what is basically a very, slightly old-fashioned, comfy lounge. You can relax and look at the menu with a drink. The Chef is Belgian and the menu reflects... more

My wife and I stayed for a short break after four years without a holiday. It was fantastic. The area is astoundingly beautiful and the quality of this guest house made the weekend. We ate in the restaurant every night and found ourselves looking forward to dinner and wondering what would appear on the menu. We could totally relax knowing... more

We only ate at the restaurant here which was an exceptional experience. In total we sample three other restaurants in Lynton and Lynmouth and this was the best by quite some way. The menu was straight forward with mostly locally sourced food and cooked to a high standard. More impressive was the cosy environment and excellent service, you literally eat... more

We stayed at the St. Vincent House on recommendation and we were not dissapointed. Jean-Paul and Lyn are very special people and do all they can to make your stay a good one. The room was extremely clean and the food was absolutely second to none. I defy anyone to find a better restaurant! Brilliant location and just a beautiful... more

We didn't stay at the hotel as we were unaware of it's exisitance until we visitied the area, but we had dinner there on our last night. The service was faultless, the food outstanding and the decor stunning. A true dining experience. A must see for anyone visiting the area. This is definately going to be our hotel of choice... more

My husband and I stayed for two nights in May to celebrate his Birithday. John-Paul and Lin could not have done anymore to make our stay special, I had arranged wine, chocolates and a basket of fruit for the room on arrival, this they were happy to do. The restaurant is something else, excellent food, if you love fish you... more

This was our second visit to St. Vincent's and I was concerned it would not live up to our previous experience. I needn't had worried, we had a great time. John-Paul and Lin are great hosts, the rooms are lovely & very clean, and the food (and drink) is excellent. If you enjoy walking and dramatic scenery then Lynton is... more
