My husband and I stayed at Highcliffe House for our first wedding anniversary and it was just perfect! The house has such an old Victorian charm to it and the views are beautiful. The breakfast was delicious, I had eggs benedict one day and pancakes the next - both wonderful. Karen and Mike were great hosts and there’s such a... More

We have just returned from spending 4 very enjoyable nights at this beautiful B&B. Karen and Mike made us feel very welcome. The breakfast choices were amazing, everything was so fresh and homemade which made you want to go back for more. We felt totally pampered. The rooms were spotless, crisp, beautifully furnished and welcoming with stunning views of the... More

We stayed here for just one night in April and had the most comfortable night's sleep. We stayed in the Hollerday room which is beautifully decorated - it felt like a home away from home, but better! Mike and Karen were extremely welcoming and seem to truly enjoy having people to stay, which is lovely. The tea and scones on... More

Staying in this lovely guest house certainly contributed greatly to a wonderful weeks holiday. The ambiance of the beautifully furnished rooms and the fantastic quality of service meant that we could imagine ourselves as belonging to the upper classes who famously stayed at this resort in Victorian days. The breakfast choice was very extensive and cooked to perfection. The views... More

Highcliffe is a beautiful 19th-century house with very large bedrooms looking out over the towns of Lynton and Lynmouth with stunning views of the Bristol Channel. The rooms are furnished with evocative furniture with very large, comfortable beds. Our hosts were helpful but unobtrusive. Breakfast was a standout!

It's quite an adventure finding your way up the steep, narrow road to Highcliffe house, but what an amazing view when you get there! The warmest of greetings from Michael and Karen with a cream tea in their sun-drenched breakfast room. The rooms are very comfortable and well equipped. Good choice of cooked breakfast options, expertly prepared. Plenty of useful... More

We spent 3 days at Highcliff House, in the Kipscolme room, and were superbly looked after. The room was exceptionally comfortable with great views over the coast. The breakfasts were delicious and the choice was extensive. Advice on local restaurants, walks etc was freely given and proved to be really helpful. We could have stayed in a local guesthouse for... Just returned from 3 nights at Highcliffe House and felt compelled to write about it straight away! Easy to book online, sent clear concise information and detailed directions to follow. Greeted by the owners on our arrival, asked if we would like a cream tea (of course!) and then shown to our beautiful room. Breakfast each morning was plentiful and... More
