I have nothing but praise for Karen and Mike. We stayed 3 nights and had a really relaxing stay. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable and the views are great. We particularly enjoyed Karen's cooking and eating breakfast looking out at the magnificent view. You are ideally placed to walk to the restaurants and pubs down the hill.

We stayed here for two nights on our mini moon and I have to say I was really impressed. Firstly it started before our stay when Karen and mike sent an email of places to eat and directions, such a lovely personal touch. We arrived at the b&b and were immediately greeted by Karen who congratulated on our wedding straight... More

Have just spent one night here at what I can honestly say must be the most amazing B&B I have ever stayed in. Our room was Kipscombe on the second floor. The view from this room is just stunning, the room beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and kept us going all day on our house... More

We have just had a 2 night stay at this wonderful B/B the whole experience was one of complete pleasure. Greeted by Mike & Karen Offered a Cream tea ,just perfect . The room was very tastefully decorated and very comfortable , the views from our window to die for. Breakfast cooked just simply marvellously. If there was a negative... More

We booked the Highcliffe as a base for a first visit to Exmoor: it could not have been better. The house is easily visible above Lynton and the directions provided by the staff were excellent (once we located the B3234 - almost better to just go to Lynton and start from there). The last climb is pretty vertical and the... More

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Highcliffe House. We did wonder where we were going when we drove up the hill but it is worth it as the views are stunning. We were welcomed by Mike and Karen, shown to the room and offered a cream tea. We stayed in Mrytleberry which was just as it... More

I fear by writing this review I will be doomed to never get a reservation here because it was by far the most comfortable, best linens and superb food in the area. Once you stay here every other b&b seems ordinary. Karen and Mike are delightful, warm and welcoming. The views from the room are spectacular. At the end of... More

My husband and I have just come back from a two night stay at the highcliff house, Lynton.. From the moment you turn up the steep little road you know it's leading to something special. The house itself and views are breathtaking, inside it is spotless, comfortable and very welcoming..the owner mike greeted us, showed us around and then when... More

Lets keep this short and sharp... Positives... - Absolutely lovely couple run it. - Really accommodating. - Spotlessly clean. - Excellent breakfast menu selection and beautifully made. (even fresh croissants) - Lovely views right across Lynton to the sea. - Great homely, quaint & comfortable rooms. (nice personal touches - great lamp!) Negatives... - Nothing... I literally mean nothing! It... More
