We stayed for 3 nights at the end of April, looking for some r and r in a beautiful location. Highcliffe House is exactly as the website portrays, fab views and the accommdation is probably the nicest we have stayed at in England. We primarily chose this for the location as we wanted a good base to do plenty of... more

Been looking through the previous review, and quite agree with one reveiw that this place is very pleasant on the room and view side, however the only flaw is the co-owner mike. We arrived later than 6pm on valentine day and we did phone up beforehand to let them know but when we arrived we felt not particularlly welcomed by... more

We have just stayed at the Highcliffe for a belated wedding anniversary. The Highcliffe is more than a guest house and more than a five star rating, its a beautiful retreat with outstanding charm. The owners Karen and Mike cannot do enough to make your stay complete. On arriving after a 3 hour journey, it was lovely to have been... more

We have just returned from a three night stay at this beautiful B&B It definitely deserves all its 5 stars. Our room the Kippscombe was really lovely and the view was spectacular. We were greeted by the owner Karen with a very warm welcome and a lovely Devon cream tea. The breakfast was the best freshly cooked breakfast we have... more

My fiance and I have just returned from a three night stay at this beautiful place. To call it a B&B is not giving the real ethos of the place justice-the lovely public areas, massive DVD library, games selection and honesty bar made this seem like an exclusive little hotel. We arrived to lovely tea and scones served outside. The... more

Just returned from a 3 day short break and would simply like to endorse all the previous excellent reviews. This is a great part of the world, particularly for walking and if you visit , look no further than here. You will be assured first class accommodation, service and food and views to die for. more

We chose to spend our 25th wedding anniversary at the Highcliffe Hotel because it is located in a part of Devon we have never visited before. We stayed 3 nights in a very tastefully decorated, extremely comfortable bedroom. There was a very generously sized ensuite which was immaculate. The bathroom was stocked with good quality toiletries for those who would... more

then look no further. This is, indeed, a lovely B&B. My husband and I stayed for five nights. But despite the lovely room, we well and truly looked forward to our day of departure. Note to proprietors: stick Mike in the kitchen and bring Karen out to greet the guests and sprinkle her camaraderie and sweet personality around the place.... more

We stayed at Highcliffe House for a long weekend and can safely say the B&B was just gorgeous. Our room was lovely, with great view overlooking the sea and cliffs. and the bathroom was fantatsic and all so clean and well kept. We were treated to a complementary pot of tea and scone when we arrived sitting in the window... more
