Whilst staying in Lynton in March, that Sandrock seemed to be the only place serving evening food midweek, so we went there! The food is simple carvery food, really good and edible. There is no fuss and you would never mistake it for cordon bleu, but very good and very generous home style cooking and at £9.00 for 2 courses... More

Only about 50yds from our B&B. Staff were very welcoming and the food in their restaurant was very good. Cant fault any of it. So much to choose from on the carvery with very generous helpings. Real ale which my husband enjoyed especially at £3 per pint. Lovely and clean and just great surroundings. Would go back there as well!

Lovely place, the food was simple, no-fuss, tasty, cooking, with generous helpings so fantastic value. As well as two carvery meats, there were a choice of minced meat pie or sausage pie with the richest shortcrust pastry that melted in the mouth. For real ale drinkers, there was also a choice of real ales all sold at £2.50 a pint... More

I ate here on three consecutive nights while staying in Lynton. The carvery is brilliant value, with good portions of meat and lots of different vegetables. It puts a lot of more expensive restaurants selling roasts to shame. The dining room area is just off the Bar which serves a good pint and where you will be served with friendly... More

Enjoyed a relaxing one night stay at the Sandrock Hotel .Hosts were friendly. Room was a little dated, but spotless and comfortable. Chatted to a few of the locals in the bar over the cheapest pint in Devon !! The breakfast was beautiful, cooked to perfection. There was a good seletion of news papers provided. Room rate was £75 for... More

A bed and breakfast establishment which is being refurbished, At the moment just three bedrooms with en-suite are ready, but the bathrooms still need updating. It is very close to the Valley of Rocks which is a very beautiful area to walk and enjoy. Breakfast is very good, a full 'English' is huge, with plenty of tea and toast to... More
