I don't normally write reviews, particularly scathing ones but this was possibly one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. The rooms were dated and the bathroom so tiny that you almost had to dangle your legs in the bath to use the loo. This wasn't the worst of it however. I booked to have breakfast and told in... More

We Did not actually stay here ,but visited 2 evenings for meals .which we found to be of excellent value & quality,an olde world pub of character & charm. ,We found the inn to be very quiet & friendly ,the staff were polite & courtious .We would highly recommend this inn for an excellent reasonably priced meal

The room and en suite were clean and newly redone. Owner was friendly and gave us all the basic information. The food in the Pub was excellent and very reasonably priced. The pub gets boisterous after 8pm but closes by 11pm and the noise didn't bother us. Breakfast was adequate toast, tea served to you, while there was cereal, yogurt,... More

A venue that offers a reasonable room at a very competitive price. Wouldn't recommend for a long stay but a night or two would be fine. Breakfast was better than expected. If you want cooked you have to pre-order and pay extra. Hotel appears to be improving and is a good base for the area.

I visited The Crown with my young family looking forward to St Austell ale and some food .I asked the barstaff where best a family could sit. It was suggested we sit'outside'! It was 7pm and getting cold! There were no free tables in the bar and the barmaid asked her colleague who was sat the otherside of the bar... More

Lovely large room with everything we could ever need, Just a little out dated but wonderful friendly staff! We only stayed one night but found the room very comfortable, nice big bathroom and bed and the continental breakfast was really good, great choice and was offered a cooked breakfast if ordered the night before. We had a lovely time and... More

Had to book in at the bar, but, they were ready for us. Had a very filling Sunday lunch before going to our room. As they are refurbishing the hotel we were upgraded to a suite with enormous and very comfortable 4 poster bed,. The furniture was functional. We actually had two televisions which were both quite small, but as... More

We ate at The Crown Hotel two nights running, we were so impressed after the first meal that we returned to try something else off the menu. The place is clean and tidy, tables and floor all spotless, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The first night we both ordered the burger which was huge and came with chips... More

The hotel is a pub/hotel set in the lower part of the village. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The room I had was noisy as next to the fire door for a number of rooms. The water in the shower was a good temperature but had no pressure. Furniture and decor is standard. The breakfast was continental although was... More
