Stayed a coupled of nights, including dining twice. A great welcome which set the tone for an excellent stay. The staff were impressively delightful and engaging - bright, and anxious to please. Our room was clean and comfortable and had great views over the harbour / sea, and river. At high tide all as pretty as a picture. Room 2. Breakfasts... More

Lovely garden. Nice food. Dog friendly and entertaining seagulls. Always make time to try this place you won't be disappointed . Probably best in lynmouth. Not stayed so can't comment on rooms but certainly would give it a try.

Although we didnt stay here, myself and my girlfriend really enjoyed the tea and scones we had here one afternoon in June. We were visiting Lynmouth for a day out and the village is beautiful, a gem in Devon for sure! We had scones with clotted cream and jam, and a couple of teas. The food was lovely and the... More

The staff were very helpful, especially one barman who was quite entertaining. The food was good but the best thing about the rock house is it's location - simply stunning to watch the tide come in from our bedroom window in the morning. Definitely worth a visit ;-)

Stayed here for 3 nights in the single room and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was bijou, but well appointed, clean and with a good view over the seashore. The breakfasts were generous and well cooked. The dinners were above average and well presented. The wine list was very reasonable and they sell real ale too. The staff were friendly... More

Recommend the cream tea which we had sat outside in the rain (our choice!) The scones were light and fresh.. Generous portions of cream and jam and decent cup of tea... We were invited to shout for more tea jam or cream if needed... Nice touch... Jam could have been better quality... But all in all a good experience. Thatch... More

The hotel was in a great location as I was walking the South West Coast Path and the Path goes right past the front door. The room was a very .good size and very clean with windows all around. The view from the room was excellent. We had an evening meal which was excellent and the service was great

We paid for a superior room to enable us to get a view over the harbour and out to sea, which was spectacular. The room was tastefully furnished, spotless and comfortable. We did, however, have a bit of a disaster shortly after our arrival. On opening the main window we could not keep it open due to broken sash cords.... More

This hotel is in a wonderful location, looking right out to sea. The food is very good, tasty and varied. We had an over night stay and were very happy with our room and service. Staff all friendly and helpful . The bar area was very friendly, if you just wanted a drink, and the gardens are charming to sit... More

Once again the hospitality, food and comfort is provided by this hotel and Mike, Glenys, James and all the other staff. Can't fault anything about this hotel. It is in a fabulous position with amazing views. The food of a very good quality and the rooms are very comfortable. Anything you need is available, nothing is too much trouble.
