We booked this hotel, as a last minute weekend get away, 2 kids 10, 14, 1 dog - 2 adults. The hotel is a little dated, but comfortable the food served in the restaurant was great and the service was excellent. Downside- don't like the fact the kids had a choice to either eat in the restaurent with us -... more

Words cannot describe how shocked I am following a recent stay at this "Fawlty Towers" hell hole. Service bordered on the rude, the food in the evening was simply "not available" (restaurant or bar snack), and the fabric of the Hotel seemed to be disintegrating. Whilst Health Inspectors would probably not find anything within the letter of the law to... more

We originally booked into the Tors as they allowed dogs to stay (for a £5 supplement). Our greeting on arrival was friendly and the room whilst perhaps due a spot of decorating, was well appointed with a balcony and stunning views even if the bathroom was on the small side. The food and service in the restaurant was perfect (we'd... more

My wife and I stayed in the Braunton Suite for one night en route to Cornwall - I wish we'd stayed longer. The room is one of the most tastefully decorated rooms I've stayed in for a long time, and the staff were great. The restaurant food was good, although the food and wine menu could have been a little... more

Instead of this being my great tour of the UK it is turning out to be the great tour of the UK South West. Why? The weather reports are far better here than else where in the UK. How wet do your summers get ! The most incredible thing about Tors is the staff. All mainly Eastern European but they... more

This hotel has a 3 star rating. In general it lives up to this rating in quality and service, but is priced like a 4 star hotel. What we liked about it: 1) Relaxing atmosphere, evening music and bar 2) Nice location with some good views (not extraordinary as some people say in their reviews) 3) Clean and beautifully decorated... more

I have just returned from a wonderful February break. The staff could not have been more welcoming, the food could not have been better quality, the views could not have been more stunning, the price of a midweek minibreak could not have been better value. I would definitely recommend this hotel more

I would just like to say a great BIG Thank you to The Tors Hotel for helping make our Wedding day perfect. From the beginning the manager, Gary, was nothing but professional and very understanding of our ideas and helping implement them for the day. He was also good fun and was a great Master of Ceremonies, keeping the wedding... more

After coming down the terrifyingly steep road from Lynton (25%!) I saw the hotel on the next hill and had to climb another very steep road (again 25%) to the car park of the Tors Hotel. There's another car park at the back of the hotel (further up the hill), so don't worry if the first one is full. The... more
