Stayed at the lovely Riverside Cottage b and b for a one night get-a-way and was recommended The Rising Sun pub for a nice meal. What my partner and I didn't expect was the hospitality from the landlord, his jokes were endless! The meal was pretty delicious as well! With the open fire, delicious food and good jokes this was... We stayed for 1 night this weekend and have had a wonderful break. This is an amazing Hotel to stay in. It's history and association to Shelley only adding to its atmosphere. Room was well decorated and modern in this quirky hotel with steep stairs and little corridors. The food was amazing and well worth what we paid for it... More

This is as you would imagine a smugglers Inn to be - thatched roof & oddly sized windows & doors - all higgledy piggledy. Its a bit of a rabbits warn inside but that added to its charm as you go up stairs ,you wander all over the place to get to rooms but that OK , what we found... More

My partner and I stopped by for some lunch whilst in Lynmouth today. The sandwiches - wow! Delicious crab and fish goujon sandwiches served with vegetable crisps and salad. Really tasty and plenty on your plate! Also had a coffee which came in its own individual cafetière! Really nice little pub to grab a bite. Staff were friendly and helpful... More

This is an excellent place to spend the evening. It was well worth the walk down the hill (and back up!) from Lynton, where we were staying. We had a fantastic meal, amongst the best ever (we eat out a lot). Super menu, with great vegetarian options, large selection of real ales and a good wine list. The desserts are... More

We ate here on several occasions during our stay in Lynmouth. We had the crab platter, roasted seafood, fish and chips, mussels etc. All of the dishes were excellent. We ate in the bar mostly but enjoyed a celebration meal in the lovely dining room. Best to book if you want to eat in the dining room...even in December. The... More

Very welcoming and cosy place. Dog friendly and had nice afternoon here for a drink. Bit pricey nearly £11 for glass wine and pint bitter in fact more than London prices which I'm used to but nevertheless great place . Food looked good especially seafood.

We were very pleased you found us to be very welcoming. Just what we would want for our customers. Our wine is sold in either 175ml or 250ml glasses this measure equates to a 1/3 of a bottle. Our wine is priced according to the size of glass and the wine chosen these prices are clearly marked on our wine... More
