Lacklustre decor, awful furniture, dated, tatty, are just some of the words that fail to do justice to this hotel. The room my wife and I stayed in had been decorated in about 1950, furnished in 1970, and had the plumbing installed just before the Romans taught us anything about sanitation. It has a prime location in a beautiful spot... more

My wife and I were offered the Jade room (for the price of a grade A room) when booking at the Bath Hotel as this was the only room left. This is the Hotel's flagship room on the first floor. The room had heavy draped curtains, double glazed windows, nine ceiling lights which were on dimmer switches, and new bathroom... more

Decided on Lynmouth for a short 5 night holiday - my first one travelling alone. I totally fell in love with Lynmouth and Exmoor - Bath Hotel made my stay so perfect I decided to stay on for an extra 2 nights! I had a room on the third floor, and although there were no lifts, the building was built... more

Stayed here for a long weekend to help celebrate my husbands birthday and we had a super time. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The staff laid a lovely birthday table for our evening meal on our arrival on the friday ,complete with streamers and party poppers!! and were very attentive. The food was lovely ,and there was something to... more

We stayed at the Bath hotel on arrival in Lynmouth and chose it because of its convenient location and it has a small car park next to the hotel, parking in Lynmouth is difficult if it is busy with day trippers. The room was very gloomy and the bathroom tiny, their brochure states they are carrying out a program of... more

We stayed at The Bath Hotel in May 2007 for one night following a very strenuous walk from Porlock. We were made to feel very welcome, despite the muddy boots and the room had everything we needed as well as a sea view. There was an evening bar menu which was limited but reasonably priced and the service at all... more

Lynmouth is fab. Even in peak season it is not spoilt and has plenty to offer, sadly thats not the case with the Bath hotel. The decor is dated tatty and smells. A dirty brown carpet on the bathroom floor is a definate no no. Lynmouth yes the Bath hotel no. more

My boyfriend and I recently had a couple of days away in Lynmouth at the Bath Hotel. Not the best place to stay in town, the decor was tired and dated, while the location near the harbour was good the hotel was disappointing and had obviously seen better days. Food was average, mediocre at best. Definitely no romantic getaway. more
