I stayed here in January for business & found it ok. It was during the snow so very quiet with people staying there mainly for courses/business. The dining area is pleasant enough & the bar area is nice. There is a good choice on the dinner menu. Staff at reception were friendly though they had no record of my booking... More

Had a booking for dinner on Mother's day for group of 12 and although the decor of the reception, bar and lounge areas is very new and pleasant, the dining area had an atmosphere of a canteen and the menu was decidedly "retro" to the point of reminding us of school dinners! Despite the nice touch of potted polyanthus for... More

Stayed for just one night while on business in the area and while everything was fine i probably wouldn't stay again. Friendly helpful receptionist on arrival, spacious clean room, good tasty food in the bar for a good price. But no one else around . I spent about 1 1/2 hours in the bar area for a couple of drinks... More

Stayed a night here in summer 2012, found it through surfing as we need a hotel locally as we have family nearby. We had booked superior room as we fancied a bit of a treat. Location was nice but no getting away from the fact this hotel caters for golfers! Reception and bar areas were clean but a bit soul... More

I stayed with a friend for a family wedding, the public areas were nice, the staff friendly and helpful, the wifi was none existent even though after an hour you had to pay for it, and we were woken at 7.45 on the Saturday morning by a group of men laying Tarmac, the noise of the roller and the truck... We stayed here for one night, and although the rooms were comfortable and clean, there was a distinct lack of staff. The Receptionist was checking guests in, taking food orders in the bar, and serving drinks, then rushing back to answer the phone. To be fair to her, she did this all with a big smile on her face. The... More

We stayed the night before and the night of our marriage. We had a standard room which was very modern and comfortable. The Functions Manager was very, very helpful from when we first booked the Hotel in March. We had a Masked Ball and decorated the main Function room, with a Disco which we provided (£50 extra but for our... More

An odd place - a forgotten hotel - feels like it was built in the 80s - but I was surprised to found out it was only 10 years old! The drive up almost made me turn around, the car park was a building site. Room was uncomfortable, the 'Sports Bar' just stank of old drunk men - which I... More

Needs drew us to this place & indeed, it was vin ordinaire as hotels go. I was surprised to find a sheet & blanket as opposed to a big fluffy duvet but we were so tired after a long day, it didn't matter at that point. What did matter though was that there was a wedding party going on &... More

I stay here quite frequently and it is a very good hotel and excellent value for money. WiFi is limited in range and difficult to pick up in the bedrooms and mobile signal for vodafone is poor. Service is very good and the owners interested in what the guest have to say about their stay.
