...in a perfect location. We have enjoyed the hospitality of the owners, as well as the clean and well decorated room. The breakfast was very good as the starter for the day. Free private car park is provided.

I stayed here for a night with my partner and had booked a double room. Sadly, when we turned up we were given a twin which was a shame as we were having a special weekend away. The owner Richard was extremely apologetic and explained it was a genuine mistake. He gave us the option to find somewhere else to... More

My cousin, who lives in the Exeter area, booked me a room with a double bed in this - well I wouldn't call it a hotel - bed and breakfast. It was booked quite a few weeks before I arrived in England. When I arrived at 8pm the gentleman who operates the establishment was quite rude, told me I was... More

Richard , the owner and Jane , the housekeeper , run together this nice Victorian hotel. Rooms are excellent , furniture is in style and both try their very best to make you feel at home. You need to appreciate the humor of Jane . Breakfast excellent with wide variety of choices .

Raffles is a beautiful b&b with lots of character. It has been decorated with great care and good taste. We were late in arriving and Richard was very helpful to us. Our double room at the front of the house was immaculately clean, pretty and comfortable. The breakfast was served in a delightful dining room and was good. The housekeeper... More

Raffles is a beautiful old Victorian house just a few minutes walk from the city centre. Richard who greeted my wife and I on our arrival was very hospitable, the rooms are spacious and immaculately clean. Breakfast is ample and very tasty. Parking is available at the rear of the house. We have already booked a return for June. Highly... More

Starting our two-week trip in England in Exeter late April, we were well inspired to stay at Raffles. It was a good omen to begin our journey in this lovely B&B for which we have only positive comments. Not only did we get a warm welcome from Jane and Richard; we enjoyed a large and well-lit room, a comfortable bed,... More

Spent a very pleasant night here when visiting our daughter at the university. The room was spotless, toiletries good and breakfast very tasty. The welcome from the house keeper was well done and informative. Wifi was fairly newly installed and a bit flaky but I'm sure that will improve after a visit or two from BT. One word of warning... Just spent the weekend in Exeter, staying at Raffles. We had the attic room with a large bathroom which was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. Richard was friendly and encouraged us to come and go as we pleased, the breakfasts were plentiful. The hotel itself is very near the centre of Exeter, yet the area feels very quiet considering it... I am a regular visitor to Raffles. I return time and time again because of the warmth of the welcome, the spotlessness and elegance of the rooms and sumptuousness of the breakfast. All my stays have been enjoyable and easy. Any issues that I may have are always quickly and attentively resolved. I really cannot recommend Raffles enough.
