We decided to get married only four months before the date of our wedding and our decision was based on returning for another wonderful few days at Combe House earlier in the year. When I visited there for the first time I knew this was the perfect venue for my wedding day. Everything is perfect. The staff cannot do enough... more

This must one of the most beautiful locations in the West Country and stepping inside it is a joy to behold. However, the main sitting area is very disappointing with an array of uncomfortable seating arrangements. Carpets very worn etc.The dining rooms have been spruced up and the tables are very spacious with wonderful views over the country side. Food is... more

Combe House Hotel is what a proper hotel should be - genuine hospitality. Immaculately clean, outstanding, friendly staff, memorable food, beautiful grounds, magnificent rooms. No complaints of any description! more

We got married at Combe and have subsequently been back as many times as we could afford! It's a beautiful hotel and the service is first rate. The food is to die for, our wedding food was simply stunning. It is worth plumping for a suite or superior room. On our wedding weekend we did a tour of each room... more

We loved this place, we stayed on a mini-holiday after our Wedding and can't rate it highly enough! From the minute you check in you feel as if you're part of the family, the staff are so friendly and helpful and in such a discreet way. It's 'posh' but without being stuffy and the hotel is beautiful and oozes comfort!... more

We originally booked in for one night to stay at the cottage. It was just after New Years day and the whole place was still festive. On arrival we were shown around the hotel and then taken to the cottage which is in the village. I have stayed in a number of suites over the years in top hotels around... more

We stayed here for the weekend a few weeks ago after visiting the hotel once before for dinner. Here are our thoughts... Staff - so helpful and friendly - they could not do enough for us or be more accomodating during our stay. Not one member of staff let the place down and probably the best 'team' we have ever... more

We recently stayed at the Cottage at Coombe House for a mini-moon after our wedding in Devon. After such a 'high' weekend it would have been easy for even the best of locations to be a let down, but Coombe House was perfect. Its a beautiful setting, very peaceful, even more so in the Cottage which was quite away from... more

Having stayed in a number of these types of hotels and having read the reviews posted on trip advisor we looked forward to our visit to Combe House. After the normal slog down the A303 from london we arrived in Gittisham. Beware the hotel is a long way from any main road and is down some very tight country lanes.... more
