Stayed for one night in a single room, which was comfortable, clean and quiet. Breakfast was lovely (sausages were to die for) and there was lots of it. The only thing I would say was perhaps the hotel could update the menu on the tables for breakfast as it was slightly confusing as it stated that orders would be taken... More

When you go to "Hound of the Baskervilles" country, you want to stay in traditional hotel. The main part of this hotel is old, with rambling bars and restaurants and loads of character. It's slightly disappointing that the rooms are in a new block; but on the other hand they are well-designed and comfortable with a good shower. Slight question... More

Stayed for one night in a single room. The check in process was easy, staff very friendly. I had a comfortable room at a good rate for a city centre hotel and it included car parking, which a lot do not in Exeter. Breakfast was traditional English well cooked and plenty of it. Nothing outstanding, but a good, clean hotel... More

Overall a great experience. Visitors should be aware that the food is really bad though. Cheap as there's a 20% reduction in the price for room key holders. But it's basically a badly cooked Wetherspoons. I bit into my battered fish last night and ended up pouring out hot oil from the inside, a strange experience. This is due to... More

Stayed for three nights. The hotel was in an excellent central location, very clean and the staff very friendly. It was very old but the facilities up-to-date. As the weather was not very good we ate in the hotel every night and we're delighted at the choice and quality. Good value all round and very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

We had a table booked for 15 of us. We were told to get our food order in a week before our visit since this was standard procedure for big groups. We had our table booked for 7pm with the food coming out at 7:30. We were in a large room with another group of approximately the same amount of... More

We stayed in this hotel over a weekend in November. The location is excellent, 5 minute walk from the cathedral, town centre and numerous restaurants. The hotel also has its own car park which I believe is rare in Exeter. Breakfast was also very good with a full English on offer as well as fruit, pastries and cereal. The only... More

We have spent many short breaks at The White Hart over the years owing to its quirky character and central location. The hotel accommodation is divided between a modern wing and the original 15th century building which needless to say has more charm. This visit we got to stay in the Cromwell Suite which has spoiled us for all further... More

Hello there, I am delighted to hear that you enjoyed your recent stay in the Cromwell Suite and found the bed comfortable and the bathroom spacious. The roll top bath is truly luxurious and I hope you had a chance to have a swim in it!? The late 14th early 15th Century parts of the building really do add a... More

I've now stayed at this hotel on 3 occasions - with a daughter at the university I find the hotel to be conveniently located and reasonably priced, offering a decent selection of food and drink. The rooms are all very clean and of a good standard although I would say that those in the newer part of the establishment are... More

We stayed in the Cromwell Suite. The pictures don't do it justice. Beautiful four poster bed, amazing, deep roll top bath in huge bathroom. You feel as if you are staying in the captains quarters on an historic ship. Undulating floors and doors, very quirky. Staff are incredibly friendly, ate in the pub, nice pie, very reasonable, excellent wine list!... More

Hello there, I am so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your recent stay at the White Hart Hotel. I am delighted you enjoyed the Cromwell Suite. This part of the building is definitely the quirkiest with it's nooks and crannies and cosy atmosphere. I am glad you had the chance to utilise the car parking facilities. The location is... More
