We booked an overnight stay at St Olaves as my son is studying at Exeter University and it was convenient. On arrival we were greatly relieved, as it is not in the best part of town, but then turns out to be a quiet enclave, detached from the street and almost with a country feel to it. We were made... Great location, privately run hotel which does what it says - provide 3* accommodation and service in an historic city centre. Some other respondees have aired their dissatisfaction of St Olaves, perhaps expecting the 3* rating to be magically raised to 5* just because they chose to stay there. This will not happen. St Olaves will be what it is:... More

I made the mistake of going back to this place. Staff are ok, but the food is awful. The plate I was given had a thumb print on it. The food looked like it was cooked yesterday and reheated. The so called 'chef' has given up on life I think. Little or no care was given to the presentation, it... More

I booked St Olaves conference facilities for a business meeting and decided to stay over, Amazing facilities perfect for any business looking to have a conference. The hotel staff were fantastic made me feel really welcome, this is by far the best city centre hotel I've stayed in! I've already rebooked for next month! Thanks Again 😀

Had a great stay here. Lovely rooms and a beautiful setting. You'd never know you we're smack bang in the middle of a city. A very different experience to most of the chain hotels around nowadays. All the staff were very friendly and professional. Food was very good too. Only had breakfast but was great. Proper meaty sausages, lovely.

If you are looking for a lovely boutiquey hotel in the heart of the city without the feel of actually being amongst the hussle and bussle then I'd strongly recommend a visit to St Olaves. If you're on a business trip or leisure St olaves will certainly make you feel special. All my expsectations were met and beyond for me.... More

Came here for a party. We were upstairs in a room which was nice. Well decorated but lacked any kind of atmosphere. For a nice hotel the wine they were serving was awful. Had to take one glass back as it tasted off & watered down. Bar staff were miserable & one was chewing gum all the time. Would I... More

My mother and I came here for the weekend and thought the pictures looked lovely. However I definitely think it is not worth the price. To have breakfast, continental or cooked is a whole extra £10.95 PER PERSON, the tv satellite was awful so we couldn't watch any of the major tv channels and when asking for it to be... More

Second stay at this hotel, resisted a trip advisor penning last time but i find myself here again at another CEO Conference. Ok, so car parking is ok as long as you are not the last in as its quite limited, not instantly obvious which of two doors is the way in, the main door is made up of two... More
