The location is ideal (2 minute walk from cathedral, shops and restaurants) and public areas are modern and clean. Rooms, however are tired in comparison; renovations have been a little half hearted. Bathroom especially needed some updating. The pool & gym are a plus, but again need bringing up to date. Fine for a short stay.

Nice hotel, friendly front desk and great rooms. Doors are operated with oyster style cards which is much better than a swipe card. No free wifi which is why I can't rate it 5*, but still a great hotel in Exeter.

The good: - Cleanliness excellent, large comfortable bed, central location near sights and shopping. Breakfast good for this type of hotel and plenty of it.
