We got a good deal from lastminute.com, and were allocated a (disabled) standard double room (114 I think). As it was a disabled room it may have been roomier than others, and the bathroom had no bath just a massive walk in shower with a disabled seat. That made us laugh a bit because it wasn't very romantic, felt more... More

The room size was ok, I agree with the comment by another reviewer of the noisy students. The staff around the hotel were friendly and attentive. The reception staff were great and the food during the 4 night stay was brilliant. The car park is quite small and the bar prices were quite steep but all in all a great... More

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for the weekend, as part of the 'Winter breaks' promotion. Overall we were very pleased. The package was well worth the money. The food was exquisite, our room was lovely and the staff were wonderful. Particularly Julia Beilista, who really is a credit to the hotel. The only negative aspect which I... More

I was the father of the bride and the wedding was in the hotel. I had specifically asked for a really nice room for my wife and I and this we were given. However, it was on the 5th floor up some very narrow stairs. Also the safe was broken. There was a kettle, but only 2 of each beverage... More

We stayed on a Saturday night, and on arrival saw that there was a wedding party on. We were concerned about noise levels, having seen some other reviews, but had an excellent night's sleep and were not disturbed at all. Our room was towards the back, and had a massive, really comfortable bed. The room was large, very clean, nicely... More

On arrival all looks good. The entrance hall is clean and well furnished, and there is an impresive stair case and stained glass window which both add style. There was just one member of staff on reception, which could be a problem at busy times, or if they were called away - which happned once when I was there. We... More

On first impressions this is a beautiful hotel. The lobby and public areas are very plush and tastefully decorated. My room itself was again tasteful if tiny. I had a room on the 4th floor - be warned the lift only goes to the the 3rd and then there is a long walk up several staircases (one narrow) to get... More

The Thistle Exeter has come a long way since the last decade. It's new restaurant in both Drakes restaurant and bar is phenomenal. The service was excellet, particular praises to Ahmed Ali and this new fella, I believe his name was Peter Haywood. Both extreme gentlemen proficient in excellent customer service. 5 start service. As for the bar, it was... More

We booked a suite (room 110) for 4 nights which was right above the entrance and got no night time noise whatsoever, the only time we heard noise was when the windows were open which we had to do as the room was so warm. The staff were very polite. Only a few minor faults which could be rectified very... More

This is a nice hotel and I had a very comfortable room, bu it was totally spoilt by the club just behind it. I couldnt sleep for the base throbbing out past 2 am and the drunken yelling and shouting, This happened on all the three nights I stayed at the hotel. My room was very good for the amount... More
