Fantastic B&B. Tony the owner was very welcoming and friendly, great selection of well kept real ales, and comfortable bar area with lovely feature open fire ( wasn't lit when we were there, hot summers day! ) but judging by the massive pile of split logs outside should be great on cold evenings. Evening meal taken in the large beer... More

Went for Sunday lunch 27 October 2013. Service was rude and the woman behind the bar/waitress clearly didn't want to be at work and made all the non-regulars know it. Both the other tables I was sat near all said independently that they would not be back Food was ok. Vegetables came out at different time to the roast, and... More

After spending a week at the Poachers Inn, I am really looking forward to staying there again for another week. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and warm. The food menu is excellent, very tasty, plentiful and filling. Great value for money. Thankyou. Stuart Berry Coventry.

Just back from Sunday lunch and the food was top quality. Fresh and delicious main course with the most yummy key lime pie for pudding. The service was friendly and the atmosphere for our family get together was just right. Will definitely be returning when next visiting.

Went for a Sunday lunch and I've never seen such generous portions and such great value Dog friendly great location very quiet once the D&C police helecopter went away :) Slow down when you drive up or you will miss the tight turn into the large car park

The atmosphere in this pub is great, what a pub should be. However the food we had was very poor. The Pate was slopped onto the plate in huge amounts with 3 rounds of toast and hard butter and didn't really taste of much. For the main course I actually went for a vegi option which was a spinach and... More

We have been here a few times for a drink but this weekend was the first stopover as it was a special occasion. Always a warm and freindly place and it even extentended to our mutts. Great atmosphere, lovely open fire and comfy settees. We had the 4 poster room and it was lovely although some renovation needed in the... More

I stayed here recently for a meeting locally. I have stayed at other "higher" class venues or branded operations, but they aren't very good. This was a good honest room, at a good honest price. The staff and locals made me feel very welcome ( they had been to the races that day ) - it was a great night,... More

Stayed here one night as I was attending a meeting near by. The room was very clean, spacious and good value. It also had a four poster bed. Don't the odd frayed carpet put you off. It's a good basic B&B. It's above a pub so you have to accept that there will be a degree of lively chatter coming... More

Immediately made to feel welcome as soon as we entered the bar. Several real ales available, and the landlord was happy to give large tasting samples to help you decide. Extensive menu and the food was very well done. The main bar is filled with a variety of furniture, including settees (one of which was occupied by the pub dog).... More
