good location, with a parking permit for the street although we were parked a few hundred yards away, we were top floor and found this was a bit of a climb the rooms where comfortable and spotlessly clean with all the usual amenities and free wifi the room however was small and so was the bed, which was not comfortable,... My partner and I stayed here this weekend, whilst we ventured to the Cavern for a gig. I can not fault the welcome we had on arrival, the gentleman at reception was great and even gave us a map of the city. We also took advantage of the free permit parking for the duration of the stay. We got to... More

Good breakfast but found staff uncomfortable as chatting away in a foreign language, they made an mistake over rooms so had a tiny room and bathroom, bed noisy and uncomfortable. Didnt get a courtesy was your stay to your satisfaction just a 'Thanks nothing to pay bye' when I left. Wrote a complaint via email which they didnt answer so... More

Comfortable room, well fitted-out, but small, and bathroom even smaller. Friendly staff. Short walk to town centre, cathedral and restaurants. Pleasant sunny breakfast room. Very close to a good pub - the Farmers Union.

The Clock Tower is a nice, slightly older hotel. It is close to the train station and an easy walk to the town center and major sites. My room was large for a solo traveler and to the rear of the hotel so very quiet. I had the full English breakfast the 3 days I was there so I can... More

stayed overnight in family room. two adult/two children. small room, overheated- two sash windows- one didnt open. Hot all night, traffic noise and noisy revelers walking home after a night out kept me awake for hours. Bathroom tiny with poor shower. Breakfast low quality food. Overpriced. No parking but provide parking permit but no guarantee of any nearby parking. Would... More

A one night stay at this basic but comfortable B&B in late September. Had the full English for breakfast, products used were of a medium quality but for £75 a night for the 2 of us thought it was good value for money. Parking was a problem as the Hotel has none of it's own but the will give you... More

I scored this hotel out of 100 and gave it 20. It's dated. Parking is non existent - one has to collect a permit and drive round local streets searching for a parking space in "zone h" where locals park. The room was dated and hardly big enough to swing a cat round in. Shower a trickle. TV tiny. Guy... More

We were a party of 6 and the only complaint apart from the room size, (room 12 ),and the bed size for 2 people was the most uncomfortable we have ever slept in. I say that because we have slept in a lot of hotels, worldwide. Two of our friends in another double room, experienced the same. The mattresses need... More
