I visited the Clock Tower Hotel on a short trip to the University of Exeter. The Hotel is perfectly located for both a visit of the city (2 min walk to the centre) and of the University (15 min walk to the main campus). I took a family room (up to 4 people). The room was alright, although the sink... More

While the location is excellent for downtown sights, Clock Tower is overpriced at 83GBP for a twin room for 2 for 1 night. There is no parking on site so one has to drive to find legal street parking (they do provide an overnight pass) which can be up to 4 blocks away. The room was clean but tired and... More

We spent four nights here on our England holiday trip and wanted to visit Exeter and the surrounding area this year. The hotel is ideal for being in the center of the city, walking to most parts of town is fairly easy. Be aware that Exeter is hilly and the city center is on top of St David's hill. The... More

I think I had the best room (number 1), right next to the entrance. The atmosphere in this small hotel was friendly and relaxed. Good breakfast. Good location for visiting the university as well as the city of Exeter. The only downside was that you could hear everything in the neighbouring rooms and upstairs (I woke because of my neighbours... More

Excellent location and great value for money, including a nice breakfast! Clean, comfortable, good sized room. All of the staff were lovely, and they were more than happy to keep our backpacks safe for us whilst we spent time in Exeter after check-out. Would definitely stay here again. More

Booked last minute, chosen as it said "Private parking close by", indicating a car park. As a Disabled Driver this is important to me. Turns out there is no private car park, you are supposed to borrow a residents permit and park where ever you can find. The Room was clean but there was an odd lingering smell that i... More

We enjoyed our stay at The Clock Tower as we had one of the big rooms on the ground floor! Very helpful staff and a good breakfast in the price. The only drawbacks was the noise of the traffic in the mornings and the lack of onsite parking which was not what we had expected from their website! Not a... More

Hotel looks good and and most staff are very friendly and helpful, but the floors are very thin and you hear absolutely everything above and below. In the morning reception is presided over by a notoriously moody woman who won't you let you stay even half an hour beyond the stingy 10.30 checkout time. Ask University of Exter to book... More

I stayed at the clock tower for 1 night as I had an interview at Exeter University the following day. I found it very easy to book and the rates were brilliant. The receptionist was extremely helpful when I checked in, she gave me a map and explained how to get to the town centre, the cathedral and the university.... More
