We were a party of 6 and the only complaint apart from the room size, (room 12 ),and the bed size for 2 people was the most uncomfortable we have ever slept in. I say that because we have slept in a lot of hotels, worldwide. Two of our friends in another double room, experienced the same. The mattresses need... More

Stopped there a while back with my twin daughters who were attending a function in Exeter. We missed breakfast by 2 minutes and the hosts were totally unhelpful. Would not accommodate us saying it was our fault and they needed to clean up. There was not even a gesture to re-imburse or an apology. This is one place I'll be... More

Within easy walking of the town centre, railway station and cathedral. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Our room was quite large, clean and although on the front, not noisy at all, (we stayed a week). Parking was no problem. Public transport and walking distances were so good we did not use the car the whole time we were there. Close... More

We stayed here for one night as a stopover for travelling to the Scilly Isles the next day. The single room was small and in need of refurbishment. I was travelling with my friend and we are both over 65. Our rooms were up two steep flights of stairs and there was no lift - the guy on reception only... More

Stayed at this hotel May 2014 , chose it as it was almost equidistant from train station ( St David's ) and the town centre . Good value all round , however , our room was practically in the attic , so it was quite the mountaineering trek getting back to it . Room was pleasant enough but a few... More

Room was really clean and bed was comfortable. Friendly, helpful staff helped me find everything I needed nearby. The hotel is quite close to the City Centre which was good. I stayed there for just a night

The hotel itself is fairly old and a little rickety. Thus said however, the staff were fairly pleasant. The rooms were in a reasonable state of repair- although in a definate need of refurbishment. The rooms are situated on several levels and are accessed through a network of narrow staircases. Car parking also proves as a little bit of a... More

I spent there 3 nights in December 2013, the hotel was chosen because of its proximity to the Exeter University. But the location is also very convenient for the visiting the Old Town and city centre. It took me about 15 minutes on foot to reach the hotel from the Bus & Coach Station, the cathedral is also 15 walking... More

Great location, just 10 minutes from the city center; friendly and helpful staff; decent size room; thin walls with noise from adjacent rooms coming through; bed was OK but I was not sure if bed linen was washed well.
