We had a really great Sunday roast here we called in to see if they were still doing meals as we had passed the pub a couple of days earlier just up the lanes from where we were staying ... They have a really good menu plus specials and were still serving roast three choices we went for the beef... More

Went to the Rising Sun Inn with a mate of mine as it was a beautiful day and the views are outstanding. I had a Tiger Prawn salad which was very tasty. My friend had Roast Pork Chop which he said was cooked to perfection.

I took my family for a meal at this country pub on a week night, no need to book as was very quiet. Welcoming and clean with large spacious restaurant. The service was very good and reasonably priced. The main meals we had were ok.. only ok. Where as the desserts were very nice and made up for the mains.... More

We stayed here for 3 nights as a family of 5, with three small children (2, 4, and 7). The family room was just about large enough for us all which was ideal as the kids had a double bunk bed. The pub itself had a fantastic menu with a good selection of specials on the board. Pricewise, it was... More

We only stayed one night but had a lovely experience, the room was lovely and clean. Breakfast was delicious, we did have to wait but that was due to power cuts. The owner's are very friendly would definitely recommend and stay again.

Food is expensive, portions are small. Children's menu is a joke - breaded chicken comes in batter, fish goujons come as one lump of fish. Complaint made - owner admitted chefs got it wrong but no price reduction offered. Not good.

This hotel was a fantastic gem of a place to stay. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, as we were then this ticks all the boxes. The setting is beautiful. The staff are friendly and nothing is to much trouble without them being over powering. The food was outstanding - so much so we didn't go anywhere else... More

This hotel is well worth finding being set in a beautiful, peaceful location. The owners and staff were really friendly and helpful. The evening meal and breakfast were excellent and the room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Our hosts were great and worked very hard. The breakfast was lovely and no one asked us what we wanted for breakfast the night before which was nice. The room was clean and ok somehow though it didn't quite do it for us. The bar was big and typically country style , very quiet though. Our meals were good but... More

I have stayed at The Rising Sun a couple of times now and have found the staff very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. It is situated in a quiet country setting but a short drive to the main A38 road. The bedroom has everything you need tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits, a very comfortable... More
