We arrived to find the village was deserted, well it very much out of the tourist season out of season and it had been raining very heavily all day. Hotel was impossible to miss as you walk down the Main Stree. Reception was closed as we arrived early but went down to the bar an were met by friendly staff... More

We had booked a particular room, as we were looking at a property around the corner. We had actually booked, then confirmed the room, only to find out when we got there that they had changed the room, saying that it had been previously booked. When we got to the NEW room, the television did not work, ( we found... More

My wife, son and I stayed here for one night to celebrate my 50th birthday. I have had a longstanding desire to sample what the New Inn has to offer in terms of accomodation, having had lunch here often, and my beautiful wife thought it would make a memorable present for me. I could mention the warmth of our welcome... More

This smalll hotel is very welcoming. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room we found a little small but it was very clean. Breakfast was very good . We holidayed with our dog and the hotel was situated perfectly for the walks around the area.

We booked the new inn on recommendation from the boat skipper for 8 divers. We went for breakfast on the second day and had to wait 25 mins to be served food meaning we were late for the boat, we informed the skipper who phoned them and they said we were late so blatantly lied to him. We also had... More

We stopped of after walking back up, the pub menu look great and with a half price voucher, very inviting. When our meals arrived we was all shocked, the sausage baguette was a cheap fairground processed sausage with a small roll, I had a prawn salad that was frozen prawns with thousand island sauce!. Being in a fishing village, you... More

Often visiting such a tourist place with just a few places to eat you get disappointed as did not great and expensive so this was a real nice surprise!! Fairly priced decent portion s (even big kids loved size of cheeseburger!) and more importantly the food tasted lovely. Nice service too

Such a amazing place to visit. Stopped off at the new inn on the way back up to the top. From the outside of the inn looks very welcoming . Had the cream tea and a cold beer and sat on the front balcony over looking the cobbled walk way. Inside does not have the some feel , staff ok... More

Approached this booking somewhat apprehensively because of recent comments, but pleasantly surprised. Very amenable and helpful staff. A comfortable bed in Room 4. A good hot bath after a very wet and arduous walk. An adequate evening meal. An excellently cooked and well presented breakfast. Despite the decorators - surely a step in the right direction anyway - recommended.

A sad hotel that definitely needs caring for. In an ideal position on the main, cobbled, street in Clovelley. The first room we were shown had not been cleaned properly. Sand in the bath and a plastic glass under the table. We moved to Room 1 which was much larger and quite acceptable. Scruffy and dirty papers purporting to be... More
