My first impression of this hotel was that it had to be the most unwelcoming place I have ever stayed in and had it not been for the fact that we were booked in there in order to spend time with a very sick friend in the village, I'd have walked out. Just visited The Oxenham Arms in October 2004 for a week. It was absolutely lovely. A 12th century Inn originally built as a monastery where rumors of ghosts still abound.
