We have just finished a 3 day break in Tintagel, staying at the Olde Malthouse. Very comfortable, newly refurbished rooms in an old Inn well positioned for the castle and other local sights. Great walking just out of the door. Friendly helpful team. We ate here every night since it was excellent quality and good value, nb remember to book... More

We only drank here. What a lovely place with a great atmosphere. Recently redeveloped and really well done. Good facilities and a lovely feel to the place and good choice of drinks and lovely menu. Nice Clevedon raised bar staff and an enjoyable time

Good value for money. Nice room and very good breakfast. Quirky place full of character with wood beams and narrow corridors. Owners were friendly and helpful. Only real disappointment was the car park which was small and full of hotel owners' cars and stuff. The hotel wasn't full thank goodness as parking was very inconvenient even for a small family... This is becoming one of favourite pubs to visit when we come down to stay at our lodge in Bossiney Bay. When we first came down in March, they were in the process of refurbishing this lovely 14th Century pub, and now having now visited again in June, we love what they have done. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance... More

Location is ideal and so close to wonderful, breathtaking views. The occasional live music in the snug is wonderful and uplifting. The renovated bedrooms are of an excellent standard. Food is ample and of a great price. Great selection of beer, wine and spirits. Fantastic atmosphere, lovely staff and owners. The owners arranged a private taxi to take us to... More

Wonderful stay here from start to finish. We were visiting for our Anniversary weekend to walk the coatal path. We stayed for 2 nights and the room was wonderful and beautifully decorated. The on-suite shower was amazing with its pebbled floor. Rooms are small but comfortable and small enough for short stays. The owners made us packed lunches for our... More

We stayed for 3 nights at the Malthouse after visiting the pub back in March for a drink and something to eat. We were very impressed with the place and decided to re-visit for a long weekend. We were not disappointed. The rooms have all been tastefully restored and are in character with the pub. Though the rooms are not... More

We stayed at the Malthouse on the bank holiday Friday and from the first phone call when we booked the experience was excellent. On our arrival ziggy was a fantastic host, showed us to our room and even helped with the bags. Our room was superb- just refurbed with slate walls, tasteful yet minimal decor and fur throws-this is a... More

Deciding on a late anniversary treat, Tintagel was perfect. The Malthouse looked lovely and an enquiry had us being cheerfully shown a choice of rooms - all good looking. We chose the smallest, which was ample for a short stay. Lovely clean white walls and linen, a good shower and comfy bed. Everyone there was friendly and helpful with suggestions... More
