This hotel was a great find. We arrived in the evening just in time to dine in the hotel restaurant. The food was top class cuisine and the menu was changed daily. Breakfast was also wonderful and there was a great selection from which to choose e.g. Full Cornish breakfast, Scrambled egg with smoked salmon, Continental etc. There was live... More

Just had a superb meal, the ciabatta rolls are simply superb, I had mine with smoked mackerel pate, followed by a very tender gammon steak. Very friendly staff, only one complaint...the portions are to big...buts that's far better than not being enough. Would recommend this place to anyone

We stay in tintagel for a weeks holiday. We ate out every night, we visited the malt house on 2 of the nights and had great service and wonderful food, we would recommend to everyone, lovely people, lovely food , free wifi and very dog friendly. It's very busy so better to book especially if you have dogs with you

We have eaten here once and had a few evening drinks on two other nights whilst touring Cornwall. I have to say that the owners have done a great job in refurbishing the building over the last year or so.......it dates back to 13 something but the facilities are bang up to date. The staff were superb, most welcoming and... More

My girlfriend and I decided to stay here for 4 nights as it seems the Malthouse ticked all of the 'cosy little inn' boxes. We certainly weren't disappointed. Whilst the room was small, it was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. It simply oozes character and charm! Not only that, the food was tasty and comforting and the portions were very... More

We recently stayed here for two nights in the medium double room and didn't want to leave. Our room was gorgeous, beautifully decorated and clean. The ensuite (shower and toilet) was decorated to match, also spotlessly clean and well stocked. We had a meal on our first night (where twelve of our friends joined us-we were all in town for... Lovely character pub with a good range of ales, was a afternoon visit and the weather was hot and sunny so not many inside, arrived after a beautiful cliff top walk from Rocky valley, Trethevy, Did not eat there so cannot say what the food was like. Service good, beer good, nice ambience.

We have just finished a 3 day break in Tintagel, staying at the Olde Malthouse. Very comfortable, newly refurbished rooms in an old Inn well positioned for the castle and other local sights. Great walking just out of the door. Friendly helpful team. We ate here every night since it was excellent quality and good value, nb remember to book... More

We only drank here. What a lovely place with a great atmosphere. Recently redeveloped and really well done. Good facilities and a lovely feel to the place and good choice of drinks and lovely menu. Nice Clevedon raised bar staff and an enjoyable time

Good value for money. Nice room and very good breakfast. Quirky place full of character with wood beams and narrow corridors. Owners were friendly and helpful. Only real disappointment was the car park which was small and full of hotel owners' cars and stuff. The hotel wasn't full thank goodness as parking was very inconvenient even for a small family...
