Lovely, friendly staff and a superb breakfast ! I stupidly left clothing in the wardrobe, phoned through and spoke to Felicity who true to her word sent them in the next post. We had originally booked for Camelot Castle Hotel but left when we saw the state of the rooms and rude staff. We booked into The Wootons Hotel and... More

We stayed recently at Wootons in Tintagel. It's conveniently placed in the town with it's own parking. It's a fairly typical English hotel - flock wallpaper and dark furniture downstairs. Although the hotel is a little tired looking our room was comfortable as was our bed and there was plenty of hot water in the bathroom. The rooms had the... More

We stayed at the Wootons for one night. We found our room to be clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the standard of food we had for our evening meal. The banter in the bar was good fun and entertaining from some of the locals. The wifi connection was poor.

We have holidayed in Tintagel for the last two years and usually pick a place to stay at random. Next year we will definitely staying here. We popped in for a drink to kill a hour before our table was ready across the road. We got speaking to the lady behind the bar (I think she was called Jess) and... More

Its been a few years since we visited last and it looks like nothing has changed. Its dated and run down and the staff are not exactly welcoming. Everywhere you go there are hand-written signs telling you what you cant do. Its depressing and unfriendly and seems to be frequented by the local youths who simply get drunk at the... More

We had a lovely dinner here with three of us. The food was lovely and the service was good! We also had a bottle of wine between us which was reasonably priced. We sat indoors but had lovely views from the window which was nice. We went on a weeknight at about 7.30 so it wasn't busy at all. The... More

We had room 6 which was very clean and fully stocked with tea/coffee/hot choc plus shampoo etc in the bathroom. Only downside to the room was that the double glazing needs replacing as you couldn't see out. Breakfast was great and plentiful and the staff were welcoming and very helpful. We didn't eat there in the evening so cannot comment... More

Fantastic welcome, homely atmosphere. Superb views. Decent shower for tall people like me, easy to use ideal heat. The use of iron situated on the top of stairs is a great idea. Cosy & roomy bar with spacious dining area set aside. Excellent all round compliments

I stayed here with my son when we where working at Davidstow. We found the room, staff and ambiance of the place great. I can recommend for any occasion. I think the views are outstanding and the village is superb. We never ate here but the restaurant look good with its view of the castle.
