Stayed at camelot for 1 night for the other halfs 50th birthday. Fantastic location with views of Tintagel, the hotel looked majestic from the car park. The missus at first was a bit overawed with the hotel thinking it was a bit 'posh' for us, gaudy wallpaper even gaudier paintings on the walls i soon assured her that the word... More

If you are or are not a King Arthur believer, this hotel is a must see and do. It sits on a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean along the rugged Cornwall coastline. You can hike down the cliff over to the historical ruins of Tintagel Castle believed by some to be the birthplace of King Arthur. You need to be... More

Beautiful location and building, good service but disappointing product. Rooms are basic with no castle feel to it, poor quality paint on wall, poor quality furniture, cheap looking bedroom doors and corridor, plastic throughout bathroom, my girlfriend was not very impressed...:(

The hotel is situated in a grand natural setting and walking into the grand hall, albeit somewhat faded, the hotel, in terms of quality of the room, services and facilities should have matched it's setting and the premium prices charged. Staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, leaving you to struggle with luggage and find your own room. The room was small... More

I've waited a few weeks to write the review in the hope it'd be less ranty but the memory of the stay is still an unpleasant one. The Good Stuff: - The location is fantastic and the views are stunning - The staff are friendly and attentive - The room was large - The Explorer's tea room serves a reasonably... More

Ted Stourton is probably the greatest abstract realist artist of all time. This is our opinion of his art and others have their own opinions which of course may differ.  We feel that it is wonderful that he is so giving of his time and his creativity to the world.  We are incredibly fortunate to have some of his collection... The setting is truly stunning with views of the sea etc. However the hotel rooms are terrible! Very dated and basic, curtains if present are very light so pointless. The bathroom was so appalling words really cannot describe it! It was like an old plastic pod from a cruise ship, or like a toilet cubicle from a plane that you're... More

The hotel entrance is lovely, hotel location is very impressive, all good so far. Here is your key and your room is here. Bang, what is the so called bathroom about. Cruise ships have far better facilities, a green pod where the water keeps running, shower on top of the loo and not in any hotel pics. The room is... More

This place is set in a most amazing place. The views of the Atlantic are just incredible and those views can be accessed - at their best - from the back of this hotel, so at least call in for a coffee! So this side of things must be separated from the hotel itself which, of course, has had some... More

What a lovely place to stay, we stayed for two nights. Wonderful sea views over the Atlantic, very peaceful. Great place for long walks and sightseeing. Staff very accommodating and friendly. Great size room for price. Table n chairs to sit at and look out over the sea. Very comfy bed. Maintenance staff very efficient, toilet fixed within ten minutes... More

Just returned from a three night break at Camelot Castle Hotel having had a really lovely time as usual. We have stayed there before a few times with our daughter and friend, but we had the chance of a last minute holiday by ourselves. Some of the rooms have been refurbished since we last stayed and it makes the hotel... More
