This was our third night stay when touring Cornwall by bike in the middle of June. Braganza is full of character, on top of a steep hill, with stunning views, and a fantastic garden! The room we had was located at the back of the house. It was large, had a nice bathroom and was very quiet. The breakfast was... More

A beautiful and very characterful place to stay in St Mawe's, with wonderful views across the harbour. Our room was very spacious, comfortable and nicely furnished, but the en suite shower room was a little cramped. We were able to make use of a separate bathroom, though, which was much appreciated.

We stayed two nights in this wonderful spot amid its beautiful surroundings. Krysia is charming, helpful and truly accommodating. She knows all that is in St M, where to eat, go, visit, but above all is fun. Her character and sense of history are reflected in this classical Georgian building. Plumbing is a bit antiquated admitedlly and the steep slopes... More

This building is absolutely beautiful, period and elegant - inside, outside, the gardens and the fantastic views. The proprietor is a little odd. Mostly very professional and charming but there were a couple of occasions when her mask slipped and she behaved rather oddly.

Two nights at Braganza was relaxing, quiet and peaceful. Krysia was warm and welcoming, fresh flowers in the room, no7 overlooking the harbour, large comfortable bed, and the house is a very short but very steep walk to the harbour. Lovely continental breakfast - overall an excellent B&B, but remember it is cash only.

Braganza is not only a beautiful building with lovely rooms but the welcome is warm and friendly and the buffet breakfast beautifully presented. Fresh fruit, cereals and artisan breads look and taste delicious. Krysia is the perfect hostess and I'm really enjoying my short break. The public rooms are beautifully put together and have some very unusual furniture. A truly... More

This well situated bed-and-breakfast was everything we could have expected and more. The view over St Mawes is stunning, second to none. The owner of the hotel was on holiday when we arrived but we were well looked after and greeted by the Donna and Agneta. The continental breakfast that Donna supplied was plentiful with great choices that would please... More

If you are looking for a very English bed and breakfast at a reasonable price in a property with lots of character and history, you need look no further. It also helps that the owner is part of that history and can give you all the details. The property and our bedroom had superb views over the harbour. It is... More

On a road trip around Cornwall, from a recommendation, we stopped off in St Mawes. The small seaside town is the most gorgeous and quaint little place and definitely worth a visit. Stupidly, we hadn’t booked any accommodation as we thought that it wouldn’t be busy, but this was not the case. After searching the town for a place to... More

On arrival , following precise information taking us to the beautifully located Braganza, we just stopped and stood admiring the breathtaking views of the harbour and the headland stretching out in front of us. We were then suddenly aware of the arrival of the charming hostess , Krysia, who had come to greet us and escort us into the attractive... More
