We booked via the Internet and we were a little nervous - but there was no need. The bedrooms were comfortable, the setting by the harbour was very attractive and parking was convenient. We enjoyed a 'good pub grub' supper , slept well and were fortified for the next day of our Cornish travels by a freshly cooked breakfast. Good... More

We took the Falmouth to St Mawes ferry, which was a lovely half hour lunchtime trip, we were the only ones on the boat, aside from the crew of course. Arrived at St Mawes. We had intended to eat at the Idle Rocks, but they were surprisingly full. We stumbled upon the Victory Inn, just up a pretty side road,... More

Visited this delightful seaside town and enjoyed an overnight stay at the cozy Victory Inn. The two rooms are great value and have everything you need for an overnight stay. Comfortable beds, fluffy white towels, amenities and hair dryers. Breakfast was included...full English...cooked to order by the chef. We ate dinner at the restaurant and really enjoyed the range of... More

A late lunch visit, an interesting traditional 'ale house' with a typical pub grub menu, situated just off the sea front, but probably the best value in St Mawes (compared to other nearby establishments, most of which were quite pricey!) Personable member of staff, who was serving at the bar & waiting on tables, we ordered a fish & chips... More

Immediate friendly welcome in this pub which was tucked away up a slight slope in the middle of St Mawes. No fuss explanation of the local available fare. Well presented bountiful lunch, which was good value. The surroundings were pleasant, very pubby but clean and tidy. Worth a visit.

We booked this on spec as we were going to be in that area looking at wedding venues, neither myself or my fiancee having been to St Mawes before. It's really close to the water up a quiet little side street and if you're lucky enough to be able to park on the quayside then only a very short walk... More

We booked an early dinner for a party of 6. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. There is a good menu with the additional option of a "special of the day board". All of our meals were well presented and we could not fault the quantity, especially the fish dishes. The young staff were attentive and provided good service.... More

Great Inn right next to the harbour so it is central. Neat clean room with on suite. Parking has to be in the general car park but you can drop off your bags before parking for £4.50 for 24 hours. Great breakfast at a negotiable time!! Book in for the veranda in their restaurant- just great fish dishes at a... More

Popped in for dinner and wasn't sure what to expect. We had a table on the terrace and were warned about sea gull attacks (thankfully the gulls weren't interested in us). We had a great meal- lovely hake and scampi far better than at the Rising Sun Inn. We had a view of the harbour and the kayak racing in... More

Dropped in for a light lunch. This pub has a nice location just off the front at st Mawes, if you sit outside you can look down the street and onto the harbour. The beer was fine and the food itself was very nice but I though the sandwich prices fairly outrageous, over £7 for a ham sandwich and over... More
